Story
Like most sane people, student Alex Webber thought he was hallucinating - perhaps he'd consumed something bad at the party he'd been attending that night, or he was severely overtired. But when he sees the mysterious man following Natalie again the very next day, he can no longer disbelieve his eyes. Although she denies the man's existence, Alex sees her walking with him down a road in his neighborhood he's never seen before - and can't help but follow.

In the wrong category
Loving these books and the person who reads them out is brilliant at doing different characters. I’m 30 and absolutely love these book. I would say they are for ages 14 and over. Not 11-13 as there are some gruesome parts and older thinking.

more of the same
the disappointing part of this book is that it is short and could have been included with book 3 for a complete listen. Again, it ends on a cliffhanger but I am not going to listen to the next one because it is pretty predictable what will happen. It was an ok listen, entertaining but a bit immature and predictable.

Narration error
I’m enjoying the book very much, but I want to inform the audio editors that at 1:30:00 into the book there’s a narration error where “his aging process” is said twice in a row. And it doesn’t sound intentional.

A gripping read
I am really enjoying this series to far. The characters are very likable and there is plenty of action.
The only downside that I would say is in the last couple I have personally noticed too much description during the fast paced chapters. It is usually fine, but in moments when they say they have a couple of minutes before something bad happens...and twenty minutes later she is still describing the room.
But that may be a personal taste, otherwise it is a very gripping series.

gripping plot, excessive internal monologue
So the first chapter is basiclly a running monologue of the characters thoughts where for the majority of which she's smuggled across the tower and well the rest of the book continues in that vain. Which is shame considering the over all plot, setting and good to great descriptions of the various locations, genral atmospheres and action. Other than that the ending caused me to physical role my eyes due to yet another cliff hanger and not a great one at that.
so a good captivating book in the same vain as the rest, if you enjoyed the first two in this series so far you'll enjoy this one too. 3.5-4 stars but I'll round up given the over arching plot.
