 Fegan has been a "hard man" - an IRA killer in Northern Ireland. all of the history of the Irish troubles the passion of the characters for their cause although some did not agree with their methods.

Years ago my English teacher gave me "The Sniper" to read. A short story based in the conflict. I remembered that again and came looking for a book from that conflict. I just randomly chose this one. It didn't disappoint. I loved "the followers" concept.

Have listened to all Stuart Neville's books twice now. On my third time. only wish there were more. Gerard Doyle is a great Irish Narrated. For me anyway.

Wasn’t sure if I’d like this but interested in narratives set in The Troubles. I couldn’t stop listening, even if I hummed to myself during the violence! Gerard Doyle is the most outstanding narrator on Audible!! I could listen to him read the phone book!
