Publisher's Summary

From the cold-blooded murder of a man well known in London’s Bohemian society to a sinister tradition in an old Tudor manor house, these six cases from the early years of Holmes’ career in the 1880s present a singular collection of mysteries for the world’s first consulting detective to resolve. Who is it that bangs on the front door of Mr Lidington’s isolated cottage in the dead of night? Why does Henry Barton’s job interview proceed in such a surprising and unpredictable way? What is the secret of the man from Chile and his strange, silent wife? Sherlock Holmes must find the answers to these and many other puzzling questions if he is to bring these cases to a successful conclusion. In this new collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories, well known author Denis O. Smith accurately recreates once more both the atmosphere and the excitement of Conan Doyle’s well-loved original Holmes tales.

The series gets better!

I was impressed with Volume One of Dennis O. Smith's series of Sherlock Holmes pastiches. He surpassed himself in Volume Two. Whenever one attempts to write in the style of someone as legendary as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, it is a task, to be sure. Smith once again pulls it off. I highly recommend this book and hope that Volume Three will soon follow.

Wonderful set of Holmes stories

Denis O Smith’s “Further Chronicles of Sherlock Holmes Volume 2” is a great collection of stories. I thoroughly enjoyed each one of the stories in the collection. Kevin E Green, the narrator, performed the unique voices of the characters and enhanced my enjoyment of the book!

Interesting and clever

I though this was an excellent book with good stories but there were a couple of annoying parts. The narrator, while quite good, made some stupid errors of speech. “Touché” being pronounced as “touch” was one of them. Really this should have been picked up.

Volume two does not disappoint

Another great audio of Sherlock Holmes stories beautifully narrated by Kevin E Green. If you love Sherlock Holmes this is the audio for you and once again is split info separate chapters for each story so you can dip in and out of them.
