Great books really enjoyed them. the characters were good and the narration too. would recommend for those who enjoy fantasy.

storyline

The story has potential but is ruined somewhat by the unwarranted attempts at building sexual tension.
The supposedly graphic nature of the prose in respect of this is amateur almost to the point of being embarrassing.
The narration is of a sufficient standard and makes up for the aforementioned failures of the text to a degree, but I'm sure that this title would be better categorized in the romace/word-porn section.

I'm not sure why it gets so many poor reviews, it's not great but it's not terrible. It's lazily written, like a first draft, and no-one has checked for grammar or even clarity. One of many examples "I hoped the witch would be too focused on getting her prize than him letting me go." Which you can kind of infer the meaning of but seriously what kind of editor allows this to get published in this state?! Just sloppy. Some other sentences just aren't parseable at all.

The author has an imagination and has created a thorough world. Though some things are never explained (eg what's the difference between an elemental and a witch? Dunno, doesn't seem to matter). I was drawn into the story enough to enjoy listening to the first two books over a couple of days, without too many bits I grit my teeth through, which is pretty good for a book this long. Book three was more of a slog and I skipped a couple of chapters when Isa was too stupid to bear, maybe I'll come back and finish it later.

Oh and jf you want to get smashed fast in the first book take a drink every time the words "sports bra" are used, for some reason we get told what colour sports bra she puts on every day.

It literally sounds like a high schoolers essay that somehow got made into an audiobook.

I normally try to stick things out to give them a shot but this is literally the same as all the others like this. Need to put a tag on it as a warning. Felt like it’s written by a 15 year old on Wattpad.

from start to finish l couldn't get enough, l was hoping she found a long lost brother or cousin. needs much more story. Great read. if your looking for bass ass, take charge, can do female, this is the read for you

While starting as a magical fantasy story, probably aimed at a teen audience this then devolves into X and R rated sex and violence. The writing has a predatory nature and may trigger stress for reading audience if they have been in abusive relationships. A rating system such as for film should be applied to such books to alert readers to nature of content. This is not suitable for 18 and under audience and may offend 18+ audience.
