Story
A spate of seemingly unconnected murders in southern England prompt a high-profile task force to be formed and led by DCI Jack Hawksworth, one of the Force's new rising stars who combines modern methods with old-school instincts. The victims appear as disparate as their style of death; the only link that Hawk and his team can pull together is that the murdered are all men of an identical age. The task force has nothing but cold cases of decades past to comb through in the hope that they might find a clue to who is behind the savagery.

lavender is great!! a personal favorite
loved the story
narrator wasn't able to alter voice adequately and sometimes confusing as to who was talking, but a gentle voice nonetheless which is what the story needed. loved and hated the relevant characters equally...well depicted.
scenery and descriptions were (cannot claim accurate as I haven't been to any of the places) elaborately and creatively both beautiful and grotesque respectively.
love Fionas writing and stories...looking forward to getting through all her novels.
Thank you to all who aided and contributed to her great accomplishment.

Quite a surprise really! I honestly didn’t think a sequel could be this good!
It has a fast pace from season of horror to a very joyful time only to plunge the reader into sorrow once more. Then surprises and intrigue abound. It is a most compelling read!
