About this listen

The Sunday Times top five best-seller

One of ELLE UK's Best Audiobooks of 2020

Tiffy and Leon share a flat.

Tiffy and Leon share a bed.

Tiffy and Leon have never met....

Tiffy Moore needs a cheap flat, and fast. Leon Twomey works nights and needs cash. Their friends think they're crazy, but it's the perfect solution: Leon occupies the one-bed flat while Tiffy's at work in the day, and she has the run of the place the rest of the time.

But with obsessive ex-boyfriends, demanding clients at work, wrongly imprisoned brothers and, of course, the fact that they still haven't met yet, they're about to discover that if you want the perfect home you need to throw the rule book out the window....

This audiobook contains an exclusive interview with author Beth O'Leary and narrator Carrie Hope Fletcher.

I enjoyed this book a great deal more than I anticipated. O'Leary does a good job at building a cast of characters and throwing them into a unique and magical situation, and allowing us to watch them develop through the eyes of our two beloved protagonists.
The performance given by Fortune and Fletcher is also to be admired: each of them bringing the world to life from the point of view of two very different people.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for something heartfelt and a little bit quirky.

Unusual, fascinating, and a delight to read

Loved it! Not an extremely intricate plot but nevertheless is still an intriguing story. Would make a great chick flick/drama!!! Am a bit bias on the narration performance as I love Carrie Hope Fletcher to death, her voice is so calming and I easily envisioned her as Tiffy, however I had never listened to an audible with Kwaku before but will definitely be keeping an eye out for more as his voice is so calming and relaxing too. Great Book! Would definitely listen again!!

Didn't want it to end!

I don’t know if I would have picked this book up if I hadn’t seen the hype floating around Instagram, but I’m so glad I did!
Leon is looking for a flatmate to share his inner London flat and Tiffy is trying to find somewhere to live that she can afford because she’s still living with her now ex boyfriend. The only catch is... there’s only one bed! It’s not weird though....Leon works nights and Tiffy works days so they basically get the flat for 12 hours at a time... they never actually see each other.
This book is the perfect rom com, I just adored it! I listened to it on audible with two narrators reading the alternate chapters in Tiffy and Leon’s perspective. The only downside to this was the end made me cry...and I was driving at the time 😢 I finished it this morning and have walked around in a high all day. I will definitely follow up with Beth O’Leary’s next book “The Switch”.

The perfect romcom

This book deserves the hype. The romance is wonderful, the characters are well crafted and the story hooks you in and holds your attention from the beginning.

Lovely, pleasant story - light, well-paced story, read by narrators that supported (rather than intruded into) the story.

Lovely book!

I was expecting a light, funny, heartwarming read (which it is), but I wasn't expecting the book to tackle some very big issues (you'll need to read to find out - no spoilers here!). The characters are charming and lovable with a cute and original story, topped with excellent narration, this is well worth a read.

Loved it!

Binge-listened to this book. Couldn't put my earphones down!!! It felt really realistic and I kept wanting to look up the characters on Facebook to see if they looked like exactly what I thought they did

SOO GOOD!

This book was so much fun. Many laugh out loud and relatable moments. Romantic comedy is not my usual genre but I will definitely be listening to more by this author.

Romantic comedy at its best.
