Gripping!

I had read this years ago but so enjoyed it as a talking book.
I had forgotten large parts of it. I was on tenterhooks not know what had happened to the dog.
It's absolutely brilliant and brings you back to the days before mobile phones and other technology.
highly recommended!

Took a while to get into

I started this book once and gave up as I felt it was a bit depressing. However going back to it it quickly becomes interesting and the suspense and twist at the end is excellent. Not her best but still a great story.

The Face Of Trespass

I've never read this book before and as it's one of Rendell's lesser-known non-Wexford novels, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect.

Graham Lanceton is a reclusive writer loving in a shabby cottage he terms 'The Hovel' located on the edge of Epping Forest in Essex. His first novel, entitled 'The Wine Of Astonishment' was lauded as a literary classic and great things were predicted for his future. When he meets and falls in love with the married moneyed Drusilla Janus, his world changes forever.

Another enjoyable narration from Ric Jerrom, whose rich tones made it a pleasure to listen. More from him please.
