About this listen

What happened after? The riveting sequel to The Firm, the blockbuster thriller that launched the career of the world’s bestselling author.

What became of Mitch and Abby McDeere after they exposed the crimes of Memphis law firm Bendini, Lambert and Locke and fled the country?

The answer is in The Exchange.

It is now fifteen years later, and Mitch and Abby are living in Manhattan, where Mitch is a partner at the largest law firm in the world. When a mentor in Rome asks him for a favour that will take him far from home, Mitch finds himself at the centre of a sinister plot that has worldwide implications – and once again endangers his colleagues, friends and family.

Mitch has become a master at staying one step ahead of his adversaries, but this time there's nowhere to hide.

Terrorists got the money and seemingly went on without capture and punishment to continue their crimes ….. not a good ending .

After The Firm I expected a thriller with many twists and turns, The Exchange was longwinded and even boring at times.

Disappointing

Loved that there sounds like a book 3 has been floated!! Hurry up already. The narrator was brilliant 🌺

Great book 2 of The Firm

Glad i finished it, but felt it could have had more. a bit of a rambling tale of darting around the world in a private jet, attempting to sell the value of a life.

Meh....

Seemed a bit short of ideas where to go with it to be honest - maybe setting up for a sequel where the villains meet justice!

Not his best

To me quite a lot of the prose was a bit amateurish. I found the narrators voice for Abbey quite irritating. I never finished the book.

I loved the firm so much I listened to this straight after but I did not enjoy this at all. I wasn’t expecting a hostage story at all and did not enjoy. Suffered through to the end to no satisfaction and will look more at blurbs next time.

Disappointed in sequel to the firm

Really really dull. Expected more. Was just very journeyman and not remotely believable. Don’t bother.

after the excitement of the firm I was really hoping for something similar but it fell really short. it was a long drawn out waiting game without much teeth.

didn't live up to the anticipation

I had high hopes but it was hard to get through. It just meandered on with what felt as little progress. they can't all be gems.

disappointing
