As a sci-fi author with a hit TV show, I have a few ideas about what alien invaders are supposed to look like. In my stories, they’re technologically advanced monsters, with tentacles, and no faces. I'll probably get the rest
The stories were good. The characters develop well but seem a little shallow at times.
I didn't find the narration to be great. The Dr sounded like a bumbling 70 year old, and Emily a ditz. The narrator also has a very robotic tone which I didn't particularly like.

Good, but not great
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
TLDR; Dr. who with fewer hangups about killing people O.o
This a tough one, one the one hand I liked it, on the other, I don't like it enough to look at the rest of the series. It's not bad by any means, but I just didn't really care for it. Honestly, given that I listen to a lot of Sci-fi I'm not really sure where this one lost my interest, but it did.
Overall, not bad, not great, and serviceable enough, but I don't think I'll look at the rest of there series.

Doctor Who meets Lost in Space
This series creates a universe where anything is possible and then thrusts the listener into ongoing action.
I really think that this a decent book series. In truth it really does have everything that you want in a huge space opera/galactic saga. However, I found that it was off putting that so many of what I thought were going to be amazing moments were simply rushed over and only touched upon in a few sentences or paragraphs.
I will say this. have you ever had a friend tell you that you have to get through the first season of a show or play a game for fifteen hours before it gets really good? That is the best way to explain the first two books. It really starts to get good in book 3. I think Adair Hart really starts to write some very interesting and gripping fiction in three especially the Emily's arc. If he had written the entire book the way he wrote that arc I'd be beside myself with praise for this series.
I do recommend it. It's a slow boil but it gets there. Anyone who likes time travel, aliens, and multiple dimensional planes will get a kick out of this story.

Amazing!!!
Never before it was so easy for me to give 5 stars!
Truly I got nothing bad to say here, even the performance was better then perfect.
This series is awesome, Doctor Who is a pussycat compered to Evaran he is the doctor on steroids and much much more.
This series is pure fun, as always when time travel is involved it can be mind boggling but with those books you can put it all aside and just enjoy and you will I guarantee it, after all that's the reason we read or listen to books we want some time out and enjoy.
This series will do it, I recommend it with all my heart.

Spellbinding story
This is one of the best stories I have heard in a long time! I listened to the pre book and was hooked. you want to keep listening to see what happens next!
I am fascinated by time travel and alternate universes and this has hooked me on this story and I cannot wait for more to be on Audible.
Michael Pauley does a fantastic job handling all the different voices that I would think it is a crew of people doing it. The sound effect are great and I cannot say I have heard another audio book that was better! I will look for other books by him!

Worst. Narration. EVER.
The story was good, so good in fact that I suffered through all three audiobooks to learn it.
This was my first book narrated by Michael Pauley. I will sample stories by read by this narrator before I ever buy one because if all his narrations are like this, I will wait to read the book instead of listening to the audiobook version.
Imagine every sentence or paragraph in an entire book read ending with a breathless "ah" (as if the narrator is shocked at something) before a pause for breath. That is how this book series sounded read by Pauley. It was so distracting I nearly stopped 3 chapters into the first book.
Pauley also had terrible accents, emotional inflection for characters and generally sounded like a robot voice - like what you would hear in an Anonymous video.

Why do this?
This author here definitely has skill, but as so many others have said, the story is such an obvious ripoff of Dr. Who that I just can't overlook it. I tried, honestly. We have a time traveling alien guy who acts as a champion of justice. He has a magic ring, a space ship that is larger on the inside, and many of the same personal characteristics. The guy IS Dr. Who.
If you like to write and have talent, why on earth would you do something so self-sabotaging as to steal someone else's well established idea? Why waste time writing a series of books that is not your own creation? For Crikey's sake, spend some time coming up with your own idea and write a great story!
I just don't get it.

This trilogy is really entertaining
I discovered Adair Hart via a Bookbub email. I no longer purchase books because the premise sounds interesting. It must have a minimum of 4.2 stars and sound interesting, Audible is expensive!
That said...
A wonderful time travel story, in the Jules Verne tradition. Not a whole bunch of hokie crap. Straight forward, clear and unlike many other books, every word added to the story. It's not a fast read/listen, you must pay attention but you will be, OH SO ENTERTAINED!

Amazing Time Travel, flawed characters
PROS:
* Evaran, though bland, was an awesome character from beginning to end.
* I love the historical twists and intertwining time line conundrums.
* The tech was awesome
* The range of interstellar characters was intriguing and very satisfying.
* Emily does eventually get some screen time! .
CONS:
1. Dr. Snowden's running emotional internal monologs were nauseating. The time could have been better spent on describing the ships, or environment, or science behind whatever, or character outfits, or character powers, or... just not repetitive dribble about the same feelings.
2. Character personality flip flops were too choppy and inconsistent.
2.1. Emily was not given enough speaking time. its nonsense to assume that we knew she was bubbly. As a matter of fact, its a lie. Nowhere in the timelines did she appear bubbly.
2.2. The Dr. Snowden character was physically male but he mostly acted like a whining, scared, over-protective mommy when Emily was around. But he was confident and outwardly focused most of the other times.
2.3. The rare occasions that Emily spoke in books 1&2 barely gave us insight into her emotions or personality... just some queer stereotypes :(
2.4. Luckily those stereotypes were NOT carried forward to book 3.
2.5. Seems like Emily can't be introspective or even outwardly verbal when ppl are around. But by herself, she's amazing.
3. The monotone delivery of Evernote and Dr. Snowden often got confusing in Books 1&2. The only way I was able to keep track was that Dr. Snowden was always dribbling about some emotion.
4. Whats the obsession with Emily and releaving herself? She was the only one who ever had to pee! And why did you have to repeatedly describe it?

A kid's book with F-bombs.
A fun game to play is 'spot the movie plot', which occurs several times when the author runs out of ways to flog the time travel horse. It's an interesting enough tale, but padded out with tedium and spread over 28 hours...? I wish I had my own time machine to get those hours back! It's so very repetitive and lacking vocabulary; the sheer number of 'lumps in throats', 'misted eyes', or 'half-smiles' will grate your ears by book 2. And the delivery is quite dire, although the narrator definitely has 'emotionless quasi-autistic alien' in the bag...

Good but basically a copy of the Dr Who series
Right from the off this book seemed very familiar to me. Its a tale about an enigmatic alien that travels through time and space assisting individuals who have become victims to some unfortunate events. The main character possesses a marvelous ship that can travel through time and space and is magically bigger of the inside than the outside. Hang on, wait a minute, there's something wrong here, this all seems very familiar ? Oh, I know its Dr Who !
The trilogy was entertaining, and good value, but I think I'll bail on the series and seek something original to listen to

Brilliant space and time travel stories
I purchased the box set after seeing an ad on social media and I'm not disappointed. I've always been a Dr Who fan but I much prefer Evaran, his spaceship/Time machine the Torvatta, V his AI robot and his friends. The stories are great and can be fast paced with constant action. This is helped by the Narrator who does an excellent job telling the stories and makes it easy to distinguish the characters apart with his voices. I'm enjoying book 4 just now and I'm looking forward to the rest of this series. Would make a great TV show.

Excellent, what more needs to be said.
These books by Adair Hart are breath of fresh air to the genera. Good story line and strong character development.
I have only read 2 of the 3 books in the 3 book offer but am highly delighted with the series so far. In fact so delighted I have ordered the remaining 4 books in the series and the prequel .
The main character Evaran is a bit of an enigma and by the end of book two I feel there are dark things in his past yet to be discovered. He is accompanied by two humans (Dr. Albert Snowden and his niece, Emily) and his robot sidekick "V".
The story starts with Dr. Snowden and Emily being awoken on a space ship by Evaran. Evaran explains that they and two other humans, have been kidnapped by alien specimen hunters. and so the story begins.
They have to get off the ship, which is infested with other specimens and an invading armed force.
Not everyone makes it off alive .
Book two introduces another human race "the Fadorian". Somehow a timeline has been altered and an ancient artifact is not where it should be. So Evaran sets off with Dr.Snowden, Emily, "V" and some other characters they pick up for the trip. Traveling through time and space to collect 3 parts of the ancient artifact "the Arkaron" to increase the standing of the Fadorian people and repair the timeline.
However it turns out that changes in the past by Evaran had an unforeseen effect in the present and a whole race has been lost. The sole survivor of the race is now hunting Evaran, Dr.Snowden, Emily and "V" and getting bounty hunters to apprehend them.
And so the story continue ....

Entertaining time travel collection
At first glance, a mysterious alien allowing a couple of humans to accompany him on his time machine through a series of crazy adventures sounds rather like Doctor Who, but a lot of the interactions throughout these books serves to put some distance between them and that iconic series.
While the titular hero, Evaran, shares a number of traits with the Doctor, he also tends to indulge in actual violence more often when the situation requires it and throughout the book there is more use of time travel mechanics to deal with an issue e.g. going back a few years so that the people you met had time to discuss something and reach a decision in time for them to be of help. The companions of Evaran are Dr Snowden and his niece Emily and throughout these books they both developed as characters far more than Evaran who remained the mysterious super alien throughout.
The narrator of this book nicely enhanced the stories, giving a strong performance for all the main characters, ensuring they were all sufficiently distinctive.
Overall, these were an enjoyable set of books and I would be interested in reading more of their adventures in the future.

What a fantastic collection!
I was provided with a free copy of this audiobook in return for an honest review.
As with some of the other audiobooks I've had recently, this was written by an author I haven't read or listened to before. The ideas and writing are very well done and I was hooked into the characters and the story in minutes rather than hours.
As this is a three book collection I don't want to give away information that will spoil the experience for those who intend to buy this book. The characters are all sympathetic and you can relate to them easily, the action is often non stop and so rapid you have to pay attention carefully.
The first book is a lot shorter than the other two in the collection, it is almost as if the author testing the characters first before writing a note complex and time consuming adventure.
However, just because it is shorter does not mean that it lacks in quality or in depth. The main thing it does is make you want to listen to the next instalment immediately to find out what happens next.
The technology aspects can be baffling, the acronyms used can make you wonder what the author is talking about, but it doesn't make any difference to the story, and you do get an explanation of the technology at the beginning of the second and third books. Also, if you're anything like me, it only makes you more curious to find out what they are and what they do.
I loved this collection, the narrator was brilliant, making each of the different species you listen to have their own distinctive style and tone and Evaran himself is done in a very skilful manner.
I'm looking for the next book in the series as soon as I finish this review. It will be my next purchase.

Doctor who?
Evaran travels through space and time correcting faults in the timelines. Joined by the professor and Emily this audiobook collects their first 3 adventures together for a binge worthy listen.
Michael Pauley handles the voices of all the characters met throughout the universe very well.
This audiobook was given to me free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review.

An epic immersive Sci Fi series!
I cannot say enough good things about this book series.
It is based on a premise of time travel ship that is controlled by a mysterious alien being whose origins are unknown.
The main characters are wonderful and by the end of the 3 books they feel like they are family and you know them as they grow so much throughout the series.
The range of story arcs is fantastic with some mystery style arcs and plenty of action arcs.
The narration is really good with all characters having distinct voices. There is some cross over for background characters but after 3 books that is bound to happen a little bit. There is no confusion when listening as to who is speaking.
I love the intricacies of the alien cultures and species interplay which gives an added depth to the whole series. All of which is supported by the performance Michael Pauley brings alive Adair Hart's immersive and well written world.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily provided this impartial review.
