I was doubtful for this book as I struggled with the first 2 in the series but I really enjoyed it. It gave so much more depth to Desmond, our Night King. I wonder if the series had been originally written from his POV would it have been more enjoyable. Slightly more curious about the last book now.

Of "The Bargainer" series, I think I have enjoyed this one the most thus far. The sad, dark tale of Desmond has beauty and love within. This story was just enough, to fulfil the unanswered of "The Bargainer's" side of the love story that is Calli and Des 💕

This my second time listening and I loved it just as much this time as the first.
The author is one of my most favourite. This whole series is interesting, capturing, engaging, adventure.

I read this series over a year ago, loved them and listened to them again on audible almost as soon as I was done. At the time I was quite disappointed that there was no audiobook for the novella - The Emperor of Evening Stars - as it really does add so much background to the overall story, giving insight into Des's upbringing, his feelings towards Callie from the start and some of the information around Gallagher Nyx.

When I saw the author announce that the audiobook was coming, I pre-ordered almost instantly and it was so worth the wait! The story is well told and the narrator's voice is easy to listen to.

Great story, great audiobook, definitely recommend!
