i loved this book however, i felt it was narrated too quickly and was better listened to at 0.95 speed. for the story itself ,i felt that brooks spent too much time describing the scene and on the feelings of the characters leaving not much room for events and character development. overall still a great book but was tempted to skip ahead due to endless metaphors and repetition of thoughts.

When I read this book I loved it! It was so colourful, brimming with definition and expression. I couldn’t wait to hear it read to me. Alas, I was sorely disappointed. The stop start, expressionless nature of the narrator turned the boundless colour to monochrome and distracted me from the beauty of the story. It is a beautiful story and I am saddened for Terry, he deserves, and this story deserves, more. I only wish it had of been narrated by Stephen Fry. Such a shame. Buy the book friends and read it yourself, I believe you will enjoy it more.
