I’ve found the ideas and suggestions in this book to be helpful in working with a number (5) children in my stage 1 class. Although it is aimed at parents, it has many strategies that teachers can use. At the beginning of this school year I wondered how I would survive. Now with strategies such as instant positive feedback, and instant consequences for behaviour, I have at least some hope. My students have improved enough for me to teach, for which I am thankful.
