The narration was brilliant and the flip between current day and yesteryear very effective. Loved it.

Stunningly written, deep, searingly honest and emotional

Did not play well, glitches. Repeated chapters over and over. Long winded and hard to follow. Will not recommend or purchase this author again

Fragmented

Loved the different narrative of this book and the in-depth exploration of the characters emotions. It was melancholy but I felt invested in the story and where they’d end up. Well read by the two narrators also.

Emotionally delicate and refreshing

Another literary star turn from Abigail. The darkness of the topic is at times hard to read, but I feel that's the point. It's a tough topic that we have all read in the headlines. The journey these characters take is so beautiful rendered and believable without being necessarily explicit. Subtle but so powerful in the details that are spared from the reader. The structure, flow, and prose is perfection. I love her descriptive style and prose. The narrators were perfectly cast and bring all the characters to tangible life. This is a book to savour slow and not devour fast. Listen to it on 65 or 70 to focus on the words and small moments. A novel that will stay with you mentally long after you finish it. Congratulations Abigail on your extraordinary work! Thank you.

Extraordinary, moving, will stay with you.
