Publisher's Summary

Two sisters. One enchanted forest. And a reckless choice that could destroy kingdoms …

Taken away from her ordinary life, Rose Valrois finds herself in a world full of secrets and forbidden magic. There she meets her new stepsister, the enigmatic Princess Neeve, who will either become her best friend … or her worst enemy.

In the shadows of the magical Darkwood, Rose discovers danger and adventure in her quest for answers about the mysteries surrounding her. When she’s rescued by Thorne, the Dark Elf guardian of the forest, he binds her to the Darkwood and forbids her to speak of its secrets.

But secrets have a way of getting loose, especially when there’s hidden magic involved, and Rose falls deeper into the thorny tangles of her own past. Her sister, Neeve, is concealing dangerous powers of her own, and the two of them are soon entangled in a destiny that will bring them face-to-face on opposite sides of a deadly magical war.

Ultimately, Rose must risk her freedom, her world, and even her truest love to save her sister. Can she bear to make that sacrifice? Does she even have the choice?

Called “A fantastical series” by Publishers Weekly, USA Today bestselling author Anthea Sharp has crafted a lushly written fairy-tale trilogy weaving elements of “Snow-White and Rose-Red” with romance, magic, cozy fantasy, and secrets that that will change the fate of worlds.

Great story but would have loved more depth to the characters romance

Great storyline, had me captured early and until the end. I just feel the “love” the main character feels for others felt shallow and fleeting. Otherwise loved this!

Brilliant fantasy

Found this trilogy to be tantalisingly addictive, I’m sad I’ve finished it, even as I found the main character to be agonising the story was so well written and captivating that I fell in love regardless

Loved every second.

I loved this so much. I wish there was more. I want desperately to know if a certain character is able to have children without dying. I also really want to know if another certain character masters the smaller magics. I was left wanting more. The story had come to a clear end. Nothing was left unfinished. But I fell in love with the characters so much I want to know the rest of their lives and hear their happily ever after story that they completely deserve.

Such a sweet story

A story of Elves, sorcerers and magic in an enchanted forest. The story was lovely and the reading excellent. The pace was relaxing but always interesting. I most liked the characters’ sense of always being grateful and positive. A wonderful fantasy read.

Boring

The character were so shallow I just couldn't suffer through most of the story.
I suppose this might interest teens but I'd be surprised if this would interest anyone beyond the age of 20s 🙈
