About this listen

This cruel king won’t stop until he breaks me.

Dutch Cross, lead singer of The Kings, is a monster.

Don’t let his amber eyes, chiseled jaw line, and crooning voice fool you.

He prowls the hallways of Redwood Prep like he owns every inch.

Brutal.

Untouchable.

Beast.

And when his golden eyes meet mine, I know I’m his next prey.

The monster wants me out of Redwood.

But the fancy private school is my last chance at a better life for my sister.

No one has ever dared to go against Dutch and his equally gorgeous brothers.

I’m honored to be the first.

See, the thing about kings and monsters is they always have a weakness.

And for Dutch, his weakness… is me.

He just doesn’t know it yet.

***

The Darkest Note is a one-couple romance between a cruel prince and a gifted musical prodigy. Also note, this saga contains strong bully themes. If you’re looking for an extreme enemies-to lovers, unapologetic alpha hero, high school rockstar romance, this is the book for you.

This is a review on the first 3 titles in the series.

Over the top....but I love it. Writingstyle never felt flat....lots going on to keep you engaged, Nelia has done a fantastic job of bringing these characters to life and creating the chemistry and tension, I only wish there had been WAY more descriptive spice!! The narrators are perfect for the characters, they bought emotional depth especially with the female characters. cannot wait for more! This would have been 100% perfect performed in duet style, but they still did a fantastic job all the same.

I have fallen in love with this series

The three brothers in this story seem far more interested in describing the parts of a woman they find appealing than focusing on some kind of a storyline here Candace has some great storyline potential with her music but the boys ruined it for me with their bullying and constant sexualising

Boyish and slow
