Publisher's Summary

Vaults of Terra Book 3.

Separated from Inquisitor Cowl, Interrogator Spinoza hoists her crozius and sets to protecting what’s left of their organisation while continuing her quest for truth. But can she survive the dire straights she finds herself in, as she guards humanity from enemies within and without?

Listen to it because....

Luce Spinoza comes into her own, with the weight of her lord’s fate sitting heavy on her shoulders, while pushing forward with their mission. With enemies closing in on all sides, she must choose a path for herself.

The story:

The Throneworld is in turmoil, wracked by the opening of the Great Rift and the failure of the Astronomican. Inquisitor Erasmus Crowl, his mind and body ravaged by what he has seen in the Hollow Mountain, is missing, taking with him the clues to the conspiracy that has come to obsess him. Luce Spinoza, his interrogator, must choose whether to seek him out or defend her diminished realm from the many forces that still seek to destroy it. As enemies circle, Interrogator Spinoza enters a race against time to find the evidence she needs. But with the fate of humanity itself hanging in the balance, she must decide what lengths she is willing to go to in order to uncover the truth.

A worthy conclusion

This series not only resolves key tantalising pieces of 40K lore but resolves the trilogy in ways that perfectly encapsulates both classic and new 40K style.
The 40K universe provided the name of the trope/genre Grim Dark, this series showcases it in ways both microscopic and macroscopic, personal and of epic scale, where tragedy and hope, corruption and integrity are intertwined to the point one becomes the other and back again.

And well performed throughout in a way that caries all the emotion, action and intrigue of the text without losing any nuance.

If you listen to any 40K stories this trilogy should be among them.

Fantastic story telling, horrifying connotations

I have to say, the lead up to the big reveal was one of the best I've had in a while. It was truly horrific realizing what was going on and the demands being placed. Such a great 11th hour desperate bargain story.

Didn't enjoy the first one as much as this one. Really good.

And such a 40k ending. Poor REDACTED

fascinating end to the trilogy!

What can I say, more of the same. You need to read this if you had read the other two. It took the story to places I didn't consider which is always great.

great trilogy

Absolutely loving Chris Wraight's writing. Keeping the inquisition alive in a new timeline where it feels a bit redundant. Enjoyed this one, a good conclusion to the trilogy and well written and performed as usual. Where would we be without John Banks??
I had a couple of minor issues with the plot but that's to do with the way the Warhammer world works, the author's do their best within the confines.

Excellent voice acting, well written story

Definitely a great story from the Warhammer 40,000 universe, it's the perfect conclusion to the trilogy. John Banks reading is excellent and not overly complicated. Would absolutely recommend to any 40K or Sci-fi fan.
