Publisher's Summary

A devastated school. A collapsing planet. All eyes on Drew.

After teleporting his students all over the world in a rather dramatic attempt to stave off the inevitable apocalypse, Teach is busy. Instead of sipping and relaxing, he now has to slaughter the most powerful of beasts while running around and saving civilization as a whole. Re-Haan, his dragon mistress, isn’t helping either. She just waves him goodbye as he is swallowed by a massive sandworm.

When he finds an object that should be impossible, a hyper-dense projectile just like one that nearly bisected and killed him while he was breaking through, Drew sets out, determined to get to the root of this mystery.

This fresh start isn’t working out the way he hoped, and all the death threats his students are sending him aren’t helping. Teach might just have to face his past for real in order to survive this one.

The Dao of Magic is funny and mentally engaging!

Andries Louws's The Dao of Magic keeps getting better in numerous ways. The overall plot is highly engaging without losing coherence. The worldbuilding is truly phenomenal and is continuously growing in complexity without one losing interest. Instead it is becoming more engaging and one can't help but think of ways in which it might progress in the future. The Mana and Chi based systems of power are well thought out. I cannot help but daydream of the ways I would go about cultivating my Dao, and the applications I would like to come up with.

Although Mana looks like it's falling to the wayside as the series progresses. I can't help but think that Drew and his new sect might think of ways to utilize the conversion of Mana into Chi and possibly Chi into Mana. If he was able to convert heavily aspected Chi into Mana and then change it back to non-aspected Chi, it might allow him to progress incredibly fast should he ever return to the cultivation world.

Looking forward to the next Audiobook! Cannot wait to see what new applications Drew comes up with!

master peace. can't wait for more

a bit shorter then the others but that's literally the only thing to complain about. I love both the writing style and the narration. after listening to all 4 books In a row my inner voice is in the same style and voice as teach's inner monologue.
