Summary

 Mort Dansing was lost between two worlds: he was a white man raised by Apaches. After Dansing's village was destroyed and his wife murdered, he returned to white society, hoping to punish the traitor who led the killers to the village encampment.

He got a job as a deputy sheriff in Tucson, a town torn by the Apache Wars. When he failed to bring in a gang of bank robbers, many doubted his ability to be a law officer. I love Kirby Jonas way of writing. The stories are detailed and have feeling. And James Drury’s voice adds to the western atmosphere of the book. Highly recommend both the author and narrator.
