Publisher's Summary

A call for every Christian to move from shallow living to deep faith.

In The Dangers of a Shallow Faith, renowned theologian A. W. Tozer warns believers in Christ against the great danger of spiritual lethargy. He urges Christians to be aware of the times in which they live and to recognize how attempting to live a life for God on autopilot will actually undermine their faith. For Tozer, the risks are so significant that "breaking out from the tyranny of spiritual lethargy - whatever the cost - should be the number-one priority of every Christian".

In this compilation, followers of Christ will discover anew the importance of standing boldly against spiritual and moral slumber. They will also see the importance of remaining awake in the face of constant temptation and distraction. Discover the spiritual awakening and change the Holy Spirit can bring to your life as you surrender completely to God and walk in a deeper faith!

So inspiring.

I loved how clear and understandable his writing is. Speaks right to the heart of the matter...do you want your relationship with Christ to be like an acquaintance or like your closest confidant?

Amazing Insight

Any additional comments?

Tozer has a way of simply identifying the errors and issues with the church and ourselves and then bringing clarity and correction. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. So helpful to get a taste of reality in the midst of this polluted world.

A Reality check.

If you are a seasoned Christian and a long time member of a congregation this book invites self examination. Tozier indentifies the hidden snares of compromise. Very good instruction read as if a close friend is talking with you.

Brilliant as Expected

I completed this book in just a few days time. A.W. Tozer has become my favorite author of classic Christian literary offerings. He is to the point and by the Book. There is no fluff to wade through or psychological analysis. This book is directed to the reader and confronts us regarding our own faith in Jesus Christ. The narrator is brilliantly matched to the work. Are you playing in shallow water or are you willing to commit to the depths of this faith? Tozer was the voice God used to help mature believers.

A.W. Tower and Faith matters.

After reading or listening to many of books by Mr. Tower, I was pleasantly surprised by the tone and content of this book. As a Christian for about 35 years or more, this book provided fresh insight into many different areas, many of which I assumed that I understood quite well. This book was a great surprise to me and added clarity to the topics covered within.
