It was a very entertaining listen. A little predictable but certainly satisfying. Risqué with ample colourful language so be mindful of who you are listening around.

This book is full of swearing, has some funny and also unrealistic characters. Raph is a bit of a non character who is every woman’s dream man. A very unbelievable character at that. He was rough, manly, beastly, rich and also refined. Sex with him was quick and the sex scenes were very brief on detail maybe due to their brevity. The female characters are all funny. This is a romantic tale which places men in the background throughout and fun women to the fore. Completely fictional and very much unbelievable. I loved reading it, but...

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Hmmm, probably the scene of the hero giving the heroine a cooking lesson. The beginning of the book was quite charming with quirky characters and an idyllic country setting. It's a pity the author couldn't keep it up.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Dangers of Truffle Hunting?

Basically the whole second half of the book needs a rewrite!
