I've never heard of Peter Lovesey before, but it seems that I would only be listening to his stories because I already knew everything about them; writing stories with a twist at the end but then giving away the twists in his introduction is VERY uncool. Readers want to discover the outcome of a mystery, not have the author ruin it with his arrogance. Reality check Peter: the whole world doesn't know who you are, and at least one person now doesn't care. Audible: change his ego trip to an epilogue, it's not appropriate as a prologue. Listeners: if you don't know these stories already, start at chapter 2.

The Miss Oyster Brown story had me intrigued to the end. Sadly it was the only one. The voice acting is easy to listen to for most of the stories. I enjoyed this as something different but wouldn't bother adding it to my permanent library.
