Achieve outstanding results one small step at a time

If there is one thing I can take away it’s the importance of building daily habits and doing them consistently overtime. I now understand why despite me working very hard but in a start and stop flow never really when anywhere..
small choices and routines made daily can have such a profound impact on our lives..
classic book but key is implementation of the learnings and doing them day in day out..

READ IT TWICE!

This book is that great, that I am listening to it again so the concepts are drilled into my brain!
This is honestly a great self-development book, easy to listen to, the back stories to teach the concepts are short and to the point!
Listening to it twice, with a pen and pad the second time.

A good listen

The principles talked about in this book is something I have been working on for a couple of years. It’s a shame Lance Armstrong wasn’t edited out as he is not a good example. This has not affected the score I have given as this is down to circumstances outside the authors control.

Great book

This book is a great listen. So many gems in this book and small steps that you can take to change your life. Most of it is centred around forming new habits and then letting their positive effect compound so you can reap the benefits in years to follow. Although there isn't much in the way of science stuff (research studies on ideas etc) in the book, it has many personal stories and anecdotes to inspire and motivate. I would highly recommend.

Lackluster

There is nothing groundbreaking in this book however the first two thirds do reiterate widely accepted strategies for better productivity.

The last third loses its narrative and becomes case study after case study of the author’s life rather than focusing on his ‘compound theory’ strategy.

Although not the author’s fault, using now disgraced high profile people (e.g. Lance Armstrong) as rationale of proof that the author’s strategies work, reduces credibility for their effectiveness in real world implementation.
