About this listen
This is certainly the edition you want to get. It has the full text of the Manifesto as written and published in 1848, plus a brief modern commentary which can be used to demonstrate the failure of the Communist system.
The original text is the classic that steered many hundreds of millions into Communist revolutions around the world. They have all failed or are in the process of failing. The ones which have not failed are slowly yielding to the reality that capitalism is the driver of innovation and prosperity.
Still, Marx and Engels understood the way wealth can distort the society and how it can be used to aggregate power and serve its own greedy purposes. Completely unchecked, it can cause misery.
