About this listen

The Colour of Hope is a thought-provoking, uplifting story about how love can give people the courage to seek out joy and purpose in life from billion-copy bestselling author, Danielle Steel.

Isolated and disconnected after her husband’s death, Los Angeles gallery owner Sabrina Thompson escapes to a charming fishing village in south west France seeking refuge in the beautiful Chateau Arcanques.

Xavier de Bonport, the owner of the chateau, is reeling from the failure of his business which was hit by the pandemic adding the final blow to his faltering marriage.

Inspired by each other and the history and charm of the chateau, Sabrina begins to heal and regain a sense of purpose by involving herself in the community. And Xavier begins to recognize what he needs to take that necessary step forward in both his professional and personal life.

Sometimes new beginnings can lift people up and given them the courage to seek out joy and purpose in life. And sometimes love means letting go.

I was really disappointed. I haven’t read any Danielle Steel books for quite some time and thought I would try again. She’s an amazing author but I thought this was way too predictable and a little boring.
I thought the voice on audio was. Monotonous and when he pronounced some of the French words or hotels it was like overacting so sadly Danielle I was disappointed long time reader. I always remember my first ever book I read Thurston house. I absolutely loved it.
I used to read magazines and was bored to tears a friend. recommended your books. I never looked back from reading from that first book so thank you for that.

Very predictable
