Unleash the telepathic powers you were born with! Skeptical? I was, until I proved it to myself. You see, telepathic powers exist in all of us; they are part of the natural way we communicate with each other. Your brain beats at various frequencies, much like your heart. Usually your brain beats at 14 cycles per second, the Beta frequency. Very occasionally it beats between 7 and 14 cycles per second. This frequency is known as Alpha frequency. Alpha is the key to becoming telepathic.

Publisher's Summary
What if everything we think we know about how the world works - our ideas of love, education, spirituality, work, happiness, and love - are based on brules (bullsh*t rules) that get passed from generation to generation and are long past their expiration date?
This book teaches you to think like some of the greatest nonconformist minds of our era, to question, challenge, hack, and create new rules for your life so you can define success on your own terms.
The Code of the Extraordinary Mind is a blueprint of laws to break us free from the shackles of ordinary life. It makes a case that everything we know about the world is mostly decided not by rational choice but instead by conditioning and habit. And thus most people live their lives based on limiting rules and outdated beliefs about pretty much everything - love, work, money, parenting, sex, health, and more - that they inherit and pass on from generation to generation.
But what if you could remove these outdated ideas and start anew? What would your life look like if you could forget the rules of the past and redefine what happiness, purpose, and success mean for you?
Not Just a Book but a Movement
Blending computational thinking, integral theory, modern spirituality, evolutionary biology, and humor, personal growth entrepreneur Vishen Lakhiani provides a revolutionary 10-point framework for understanding and enhancing the human self. He developed this framework based on his personal experiences, the five million people he's reached through Mindvalley, and 200 hours of interviews and questions posed to incredible minds, including Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Peter Diamandis, Ken Wilber, Dean Kamen, Arianna Huffington, Michael Beckwith, and other legendary leaders.
The 10 Laws of an Extraordinary Life
In a unique fusion of cutting-edge ideas, personal stories, irreverence, and his brilliant teaching style, Lakhiani reveals the 10 powerful laws that form a step-by-step process that you can apply to life to shed years of struggle and elevate yourself to exceptional new heights. This book challenges conventional ideas of relationships, goal setting, mindfulness, happiness, and meaning. Lakhiani combines computational thinking with personal growth to provide a powerful framework for recoding yourself and replacing old, limiting models that hold you back with new, empowering beliefs and behaviors that set you on the path toward an extraordinary life - a life of more happiness and achievement than you might have dared to dream possible.

Self indulgent
If you want to read a book that is more about the author than what he is teaching this is the one. If the word "I" were eliminated it would probably be 1/3 in length. Personal anecdotes are great to illustrate points but this felt more like a memoir than book on how to improve the mind. Many will love this book but I could not even finish. Prefer more useable content less stories.

Just a 10 hour advertisement for the $1000 program
What disappointed you about The Code of the Extraordinary Mind?
It's not truly a program or any sort of "help" book but is, instead, just an advertisement for the paid resources on the authors website. It's like a rap song. He spends the book saying how great and rich he is to gain some credibility to refer you to the paid programs on his website.
What could Vishen Lakhiani have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Offered some of the program, even a shortened version so I could learn something or try his ideas.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
It goes quickly, his voice is fine.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Code of the Extraordinary Mind?
Most of the anecdotal stories that seem to just be excuses to drop some names to impress the listener. Very little point in the constant stories of all the famous people he's met.
Any additional comments?
This is the most disappointing purchase I've made on Audible. I feel like I just spent the last 3 days in an Amway presentation.

Anything but Ordinary
Brace yourself for a workable concise approach to personal growth. The author covers common barriers to personal growth with true insight and impact. The methods are updated from a perspective of "the shoulders of giants". He has personally developed a workable largely logical system for intentional personal growth.
If you listen to/read this book you are well on the way to a kinder view of life and it's opportunities.
On the downside he coined a phrase that is meant to suggest personal strength. It is in my opinion similar to comedians using vulgarities for laughs. Unflappable connotes the message and was already in my Thesaurus.
There is a very clear and evident seduction to visit the website of his company for additional information. There you will be offered enrollment to costly seminars. The points made in the book should suffice for all but the most "uncertain travelers".

Don't Bother Wasting Your Time
A bulk of the book was filled with anecdotes in which he portrays himself as a failure or a computing nerd so that he could establish credibility in his "methods". I found the information provided to be coercive, repetitive, and uninformative. Definitely just a run-of-the-mill self-help book that tries to masquerade itself as something else.

I bought this just by chance, since the title looked interesting. I had absolutely no knowledge of the author or any of his previous work.
WOW!!! I was absolutely blown away. This is one of the single greatest self improvement books I've ever read. It's one of the few books in general that I was actually SAD when it ended!!

It's not a book - it's an EXPERIENCE!
I have been following Vishen Lakhiani and Mindvalley for about two years now, bought and studied several courses, and I wasn't sure if I wanted or needed to buy this book, as I expected nothing 'new' from it. I have finished listening to it yesterday, and my feedback is that it is THE BEST WHOLESOME EXPERIENCE I have EVER had. It didn't contain any 'new' content for me, but the structure and presentation of Vishen's philosophy is solid and unique, breathtakingly exciting and as 'hands on' as it could possibly be. The 'holistic' presentation is AMAZING, I wish any personal development book would have so much background information and practical study options and courses as this work does. It is not a book, it is an experience, and as such even falls into two of the categories mentioned in the book, as it offers an experience and growth. It will be my standard present for all upcoming birthdays in the next year, as I believe it deserves to be read and experienced as much and as widely as possible.

Trying to sell himself
I was trying to like this audiobook but I struggled with it all the times. He doesn't tell me anything new a N d he repeatedly talks about himself and his own website. And when you go to his website you have to pay for everything. Zhe whole audiobook feels to me I want to finish it and move on to something else. I don't think I have learmed anything new.

Confirmed what I already knew
A great book very worth the read. Only confirmed what I knew already as I have been researching so much of these topics already but I did learn some things and very much enjoyed how it was written and phrased. It was time and money well spent. I highly recommend this book.

Not my kind of book.
I got this out of curiosity but returned it as I really didn’t enjoy it or the exercises he suggested to do in it. I didn’t find it very uplifting to listen to or interesting. He read it well but in my opinion he didn’t give any information you couldn’t find him saying on YouTube. Not for everyone and definitely not for me.

Very very disappointing
Simplistic and repetitive. The entire book seemed to revolve around him and his life, his beautiful wife and children and how everyone can succeed in the same way he has by basically living in a self-centred way and ripping up the rule book. Very few insights from the successful and famous as listed and the philosophical quotes from Star Wars and Lord of the Rings was really scraping the barrel. A bit less self-promotion and a much larger chunk of quality material would have made this tolerable. And let's invent another word - Brubbish!

Substance undermined by show
Vishen challenges the reader to question the rules, stay happy in the moment, visualize a future and set yourselves up to achieving it with some great actionable advice. But in an attempt to make things relatable for readers, he seems to have used his life excessively to storyline this, trapping himself into appearing self promotional, patronizing and haughty. There is far too much responsibility therefore on the reader to power through such sections to reach the valuable stuff in there. I was an audiobook listener so it was a bit more difficult to cut through the padding than if I were reading I suppose. Also its hard to unsee the excessive 'calls to action' to buy mindvalley courses which in itself is ok but can get quite nagging at times. Advice to the reader : There's some good stuff in here if you can get past the content padding. The PDF you get with the audiobook is probably all that you actually need in the end once the context has been set.

Long & winding
Takes far to long to address the points and his business is obviously plugged and is definitely for a select market ! No value placed on different classes not much to my liking I’ll possibly try to read it again but for the moment I remain reluctant

An enlightening experience
Where does The Code of the Extraordinary Mind rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top - but not many to compare it to at present
What other book might you compare The Code of the Extraordinary Mind to, and why?
Unsure
What does Vishen Lakhiani bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
His passion and intention behind what he writes
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
As a parent to a 3 year old, the part around parenting resonated with me.
Any additional comments?
For anyone unsure as to if to give this book a go.......be open minded and wait until the end before deciding if it for you or not, you might just surprise yourself.

Same old self development fluff
Repetitive, self promotion, not much substance that hasn't been repeated solo many times before in self development books. Thought is was getting a more scientific book.
