This was the.perfect book for me this Christmas season. I loved the family elements, the character growth of the central character, and most of all the charming Christmas bookshop itself. Such a lovely and cozy listen. Thank you Jenny Colgan!!

This is a beautiful novel, funny, touching, keenly and warmly observant of characters and setting, which just happens to be lovely Edinburgh. I have enjoyed all of Jenny Colgan's books, but this one is a real favourite, with its contemporary fairytale feel coupled with hilarious vignettes. It is also beautifully-narrated, with great vivacity and warmth. Highly recommended.
