Publisher's Summary

From best-selling author Kandi Steiner comes a cozy second-chance romance about love, loss, and adventure....

When I decided to surprise my family in Wellhaven, Vermont, for Christmas, I never could have known that I'd get a surprise of my own - in the form of an unexpected blizzard.

I haven't been home in four years, not since I left this town with my eyes set on adventure. And my heart set on forgetting the only man I’ve ever loved.

River Jensen - my ex-husband.

I don't plan on seeing him during my visit. I definitely don't plan on him saving me when my little rental car slides off the icy road. And the last thing I could have ever prepared for is being stuck in a tiny cabin with him, waiting out the storm.

Four years have passed since I've seen him - the boy I loved, now a man I don't know at all. But being stuck inside with him leaves us nothing but time together.

Everything about him has changed, and yet, he still has the same forest green eyes that have haunted me since I left. Back then, we were at an impasse. Back then, there was nothing left to talk about, nothing left to fix. Back then, the only choice I had was to leave and start anew.

But the more I rediscover the man I left behind, the more I question why I ever left at all.

And if I’m too late to find my way back home.

The Christmas Blanket is a stand-alone holiday novella set in a snowy small town in Vermont.

The perfect quick listen to check all your boxes.

Holiday reads tend to be a hit or miss for me, but every year I keep on trying. The Christmas Blanket came along and I truly enjoyed this second-chance holiday romance.

Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes to read about and this quick read checked off just about all my boxes. I haven't read a whole lot of Kandi Steiner books, but she gave us a little kick of angst and emotion. And that's totally up my alley anddddddddd I definitely need to read more of her books.

I know that the holidays are coming to an end, but if you're not quite ready to say farewell to the season, grab this novella and dive in. Second chance with some angst and a bit of emotion, cuddle up with this one.

Hannah was a great choice as a narrator, would definitely listen to more by them.

Great story

This is a beautifully written book of second chances; beating the odds and finding who you are and what your place in the world is. This is my first book by Kandi Steiner and I enjoyed it. Hannah Chiclana does a fantastic job narrating this story and bringing the characters to life.

Wonderful Heartwarming Story!

The Christmas Blanket was such a wonderful heartwarming holiday story! This couple, stranded together, gets a second chance at love. Their love story began when they were young and the urge to see the world tore them apart. Once together again they reminisce and remember. With a fun game of truth or dare included this is a holiday must read!

The narration was a bit in and out but overall was pleasant to listen to.

Just in Time For Christmas

Who says you can never go home? After reading “hate to lover books” and “bullying stories”, it is nice to read a sweet story about a ex husband and wife getting back together. I have the book, but chose to listen to it on audiobook book. It’s a short listen, but it was almost like watching a Christmas movie. The narrator was fantastic.

The circumstances surrounding their love story was heartwarming from high school sweethearts to marrying at a young age. Life happens and things change, but the love between them never went away. It’s a feel good book, just in time for the Christmas holidays.

Christmas Love!

I LOVE everything about this story! Kandi does an amazing job of writing this story about a divorced couple who get stuck (pun intended) together during a blizzard and discover the magic of not only the Christmas Blanket but also their love for one another. This amazing story of self-discovery and second chance romances set against a back drop of Christmas couldn't get any better if you ask. Even though this may be a short story it was lacking for nothing. If you're looking for a feel good Christmas story this is a great one to listen to. The narrator was fantastic and really made this story come alive for me.

A giant christmas hug

This book is literally a giant Christmas hug!

When Eliza comes home to surprise her family for Christmas, the last thing she thought would happen, happened. Being stuck in a cabin with her ex-husband, River. Little did she know, this may be her best adventure yet.

I loved this short Christmas story. It was an amazing comfort read. This is the first book I've read from this author however it won't be the last.

River and Eliza!

River and Eliza fell in love when they were teenagers and married when they were 18. They thought the love they shared would see them through the difficulties they faced as they tried to build a life together however different dreams and responsibilities tore them apart.

Four years later Eliza is back in her hometown when a snowstorm leaves her stranded with her ex-husband. As they spend time together all the reasons that they fell in love in the first place resurface but will this be their second chance or are they destined for heartbreak once again?

This is an inspiring and emotional journey about realizing what and who you need in your life to be happy. River and Eliza have always belonged together and with a little maturity and clarity they may just realize that as well. I thought the narrator did a great job with the story and it was easy to differentiate each character’s point of view.

Second chances are a wonderful Christmas present!

Eliza has always had the wanderlust bug. Even after marrying her high school sweetheart, the day to day struggles in a small town just made her want to get out and see what else there was in the world. Now divorced, she is 4 years later to surprise her family for Christmas, but the surprise is on her!. When River sees her stuck on the side of the road in a blizzard, he takes her home. Now stuck in the cabin, with their dog and her ex-husband, Eliza finds out exactly the meaning of Christmas! Talk about good timing, Kandi Steiner's Christmas Blanket is the perfect present. It encompasses all the things I love, from second chances, being stranded together and best of all my favorite holiday! It's the kind of story you want to sit on the couch, cuddled up with some hot chocolate to enjoy. I loved River and Eliza and of course, Moose!

Hannah Chiclana brings out the holiday spirit in her narration of this gem. It's my first listen by her and she has a very pleasant voice. She emotes all the feelings and her voices are easily distinguishable. I will be watching for more of her performances.
