Whilst Anton Chekhov (1860-1904) is perhaps best for his plays such as Uncle Vanya and The Seagull, he was also a prolific author of short stories.

I have to confess that Ward 6 - my favorite story, completely undid me and I had to stop listening.

Undaunted, we subsequently have listened the other wonderful Chekhov collection About Love.
