PDF file is missing

Would you consider the audio edition of The Cellulite Myth to be better than the print version?

The book is very interesting but if there is no promised PDF file it's half-useful. PDF file is referenced in the audio book all the time but is not available with the audio book. I hope this issue will be corrected

Unsupported ideas

What would have made The Cellulite Myth better?

I read hoping to believe Ashley, hoping to find evidence in this book to back her up. It was very disappointing to hear her call herself a scientist based solely on her claim that she loves to study science. It was disappointing to have the only sources she listed as Web MD and Wikipedia, when simple google searches find fascia information that was put out years before her product and book. I thought going into this that I would learn about fascia, but instead I learned about what Ashely imagines fascia to be. She has a beautiful voice though, and gave a great performance.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something in the nonfiction section

What about Ashley Black’s performance did you like?

Beautiful light voice, easy to listen to.

This is a sales book

The book was written to sell the author's products, especially the facia blaster. I have to acknowledge that there is a lot of technical information that can help people, but I doubted whether the information provided is true because there are few citations, and the sources she mentions are Google and National Geographic publications. Out of curiosity, I performed a google scholar search with the words fascia and cellulite, and there were a total of 3,350 results. Research does seem scanty (other topics are much more researched), but it is not as scanty as the authors state. Finally, the authors spent a great deal of the book explaining how to use the product, the contraindications, and the testimonials from users. AUDIBLE SHOULD MAKE IT CLEAR THAT IT IS A SALES BOOK. I deeply regretted having paid for it.

Metaphors for every medical condition

Struggled to finish so I skipped through the book to get the information I needed.
I do not recommend this book.
She sounds so unprofessional and almost talks to you as a child to "breakdown" the types of fascia. 80% of the book talks about how unhealthy fascia is constricting XYZ which leads to XYZ. Chapter 8 says BTW this isn't a cure for anything we never said that it could just improve your condition. then 15% of the book she just talks about her self and the 5% is actual material.
I can tell you here what information you need to take away.
1. make sure u do cardio before blasting
2. make sure to use external heat source like sauna or bath
3. do fast strokes
4. don't stoke your lymph nodes
5. don't go too hard on veins
6. bruising is normal
7. use some sort of oil

it's so annoying to hear her use a metaphor for a very single SIMPLE concept. I feel like she just repeated her self to have enough words to make a book. do your self a favor. Google fascia tool and massage and do your own research. which is basically what this lady did. google into a book on fascia. she's no scientist

Excellent content

I loved the content and learned a lot, but Ashley’s not the best narrator. Her story is amazing though!

A Must for Overall Health and Wellness

Ashley Black has researched the x-factor that continues to plague so many of us: unhealthy fascia. Her case is compelling, her research is sound (check the acknowledgements and links), and her audible delivery is pleasing. I cannot say how surprised I was at how much this book delivered. Great purchase, good experience to listen, life-changing information.

Just don’t bother

The book is really boring and without any substance. It took me a few chapters to realise this book just promoted this woman’s rubbery stick thing (had to look it up on amazon). She constantly seemed to repeat herself. I do think that a short pamphlet would have been a much better read. I will be returning to audible and requesting my credit back.
