This book is just as the summary describes - a low stakes, cozy and humorous fantasy story. It reads a little bit like a guilty pleasure book but that is a very acceptable thing for a book to be. This lovely story left me feeling light and airy, with my real-world stress diminished. I've also never felt so intermittently and directly annoyed (At least 3 times!) by an author, in a good way. You might wonder how that could happen. Annoyed in a good way? After such a positive review? What do I mean? You'll just have to read it to find out.
