A glorified blog post

Buy 3 index funds. 20% Bond Market, 30% International Market, 50% Total US Stock Market Vanguard is the greatest stock brokerage that has ever existed. People who post on bogleheads.org liked this advice. There, I saved you a credit.

Content is fine, adaption to audio is terrible

The content is like a long form blog post series. The narration is clear, but the adaption from print to audiobook format is the worst I've ever heard. Prepare to listen to a lot of web addresses spelled out letter by letter and citations detailed to the page number.

great info but would rather have read it

Great information that I'm excited to implement in my accounts, I definitely recommend this book but in paperback or ebook, I think it would be better read than listened to. There are a lot of data tables and websites that would be more helpful if viewed. Also the "bogleheads speak out" reviews scattered throughout the book got annoying to listen to after a while.

A good summary of everything on the forums

Requires a PDF supplemental for all the date and tables referenced. Overall, solid quick read, but nothing very compelling or special.

Vanguard Advertisement

While the book gives valid reasons to go with three index funds to invest in the market, it read like a long pitch session for the Vanguard Index Find investments. I don’t need to pay for that use of my time. Returned it.
