A glorified blog post

Buy 3 index funds.
20% Bond Market, 30% International Market, 50% Total US Stock Market
Vanguard is the greatest stock brokerage that has ever existed.
People who post on bogleheads.org liked this advice.

There, I saved you a credit.

Content is fine, adaption to audio is terrible

The content is like a long form blog post series. The narration is clear, but the adaption from print to audiobook format is the worst I've ever heard. Prepare to listen to a lot of web addresses spelled out letter by letter and citations detailed to the page number.

great info but would rather have read it

Great information that I'm excited to implement in my accounts, I definitely recommend this book but in paperback or ebook, I think it would be better read than listened to. There are a lot of data tables and websites that would be more helpful if viewed. Also the "bogleheads speak out" reviews scattered throughout the book got annoying to listen to after a while.

A good summary of everything on the forums

Requires a PDF supplemental for all the date and tables referenced. Overall, solid quick read, but nothing very compelling or special.

How Did This Audiobook Get Approved For Publishing

John Bogle? Amazing.
Taylor Larimore? Amazing.
Vanguard and the three-fund portfolio strategy? Amazing.

An audiobook that consists mainly of a narrator spelling out website URLs and reciting data from a table that is impossible to decipher? Mind-numbingly stupid.

Why didn't you dummies just include a PDF and say "see page 7" when it was required?

It's very obvious to me that no one but the narrator listened to this before it went out the door. Embarrassing in every sense of the word. I asked for a refund and highly recommend you do as well.

Good advice but could have been shorter

The advice is good but this could have been much shorter. Spent a lot of time repeating the same thing.

Great book, invaluable information

Anyone who is new to investing can benefit from this book. Currently learning about many areas of investing and this helped me to understand the Bogle side of it!
