There's no doubt about it, these books kept getting better with each installment. All I can say is if book 1 was B- then book 2 became A+. But for this installment the story, it's plot and characters moved up to S tier.

For a YA fantasy adventure romance (I think), it kept me so engaged that I binged all three books within 2 weeks.

If character focused stories are your deal, you will not be disappointed with the blood traitor. Let's just say everything comes full circle throughout the journey and the conclusion is epic and satisfying.

Also need to mention how smooth the narration is by Jeanette Illidge.

5 Stars all round.

Listened with 10 year old and 13 year old. suitable for 10+ if mature. All loved the twists and turns and we each had our own favourites.

I was reluctant to listen to this story because of the horror and cruelty I expected. But when I finally did, and she was released from that place. I felt better and the story kept me enthralled and so much better for it.

The books were good overall and I enjoyed listening to them. There were quite a few moments in the series that it was glaringly obvious what was going to happen. Mostly due to not-so-subtle comments being made by characters or details that were focused on before the event..
