Publisher's Summary

Sanskrit for "Song of the Lord", the Bhagavad Gita is a 700-verse Hindu epic that constitutes part of the faith's vast cornerstone work, the "Mahabharata." The book provides timeless truths and indispensable advice for believers trying to overcome internal tensions, doubt and indecision. The teachings are conveyed in the form of a dialogue between the Pandava general Arjuna and the deity Krishna, who helps Arjuna understand his position in the Kurukshetra War, and guides him towards the right course of action. The Gita's treatment of duty and devotion has inspired many, including the peaceful activist Mahatma Gandhi, who referred to it as his "spiritual dictionary".

Best Version of Bhagavad Gita w/out Commentary!!!

if you are just looking to listen to the Sri'Mad Bhagavad Gita without any lengthy introduction before each chapter, one with good quality and a great performance, than this is undoubtedly the best version.
As always, Sagar Arya's voice and performance is outstanding! I now just go through his performances to see if he's narrated a book before I check anywhere else.
This version is the best without commentary without question. if however you're looking for insight, then maybe look elsewhere. But I like having both for the most important ancient texts and I already had one with an excellent commentary and needed one without introductions and I picked this one as soon as I saw who the narrator was. No one can beat Sagar Arya's performances or his deep soothing voice.
I couldn't recommend this copy more!

Lovely Indian Accent Enhances Reading of the Gita

The narrator Sagar Arya was so great that I added several books he has narrated to my library.

The text Shrimad Bhagavad Gita translated by Swami Swarupananda can be found at the archive.org site.

The text is enjoyable in itself and contains copious explanatory notes that are most helpful.

The pleasing accent and skillful narration by Sagar Arya make this audiobook delightful.
