Publisher's Summary
The long-anticipated-and hilarious-final installment in The Regency Romp Trilogy...
After the Viscount Marlowe's latest misadventure gets Miss Minerva Jones sacked from her teaching post, he hires her as a governess for his twins. Marlowe finds himself falling for the feisty bookworm - an alarming development for a man who was nearly broken by his disastrous marriage. Can he risk his heart without falling apart again?
Minerva would rather be employed by anyone other than the walking disaster that is the Viscount Marlowe, but she finds a home in Lord Marlowe's eccentric household, and loses her heart to not only the twins but also their impossible father. Will she take a chance on the viscount?
Just when their happy ending is in sight, however, Minerva discovers Marlowe's most closely guarded secret, with disastrous results. Can she ever forgive him for his deception?
(Also includes an evil duke, meddlesome friends, a randy Greek God, and a pack of rabid Misstophers.)

Marvelous recording of a very funny book.
Oh, Maggie Fenton! The Alabaster Hip is just as funny and romantic as the first two Regency Romps. The criminals have the perfect balance of evil and incompetence. I did read this book when it first came out as an ebook, however I really do not enjoy that format. Listening allows me to slow down and savor the language and the details.
The secondary characters enrich the story and help to complicate the plot. Several deserve their own books and I hope they are part of a forthcoming series.

Not anywhere near as good as the previous two
This was boring and, frankly, stupid. The first two books in the series were much better. Except everyone of the heroines in the three books were mean and unlikable. I could not understand why the hero did not use walk away from them.

A witty amazing story. Worth a read.
I adored this tale. Great story line with wonderful characters. Maggie Fenton is a very witty Author. I really like her sense of humor. I listened to this story through Audible. The narrator was the perfect choice to read this tale. Love, anger, heart break, conspirators, kidnapping, runaway and so much more in this lovely book. Worth reading.

Bad narrator and bad sex
I loved the first book, but this one had a narrator that was just boring. The sex scenes were overly descriptive and droned on. Less is more. And, the wit that was in previous stories of hers was mostly missing in this one.

Astrid changed in personality
Astrid's personality has significantly changed. It is a great disappointment from the smart, simple, down to earth person she was in the first book to a fluffy head socialite; A person whom she would have seemed to hate to become. Sorely disappointed in her character.

narrator not right for main character
After reading half of this book I skipped to the next to last chapter. Listening moved too slowly for me although I have loved the other books and just bought the kindle version so I can read at my pace and imagine the voices.

Fabulous!
The third book in the series continues with marvelous interesting characters and plot twists, and of course extremely funny dialogue and situations. Can’t wait for a fourth book to be published—I’m sure about Marlowe’s 1/2 sister Liz and the handsome Doctor!

Americanisms ahoy!
So a regency romance set amongst the ton and we've got creek beds, stoops, and all of the rest of the nonsense. Very annoying to an English person and very patronising to an American. A great shame because the first book avoided these inaccuracies. Back to the Heyer, Hambly, Lancaster and other writers who can be bothered to get it right. Decent enough narrator.
