Great accents, poor flow

Disappointing - other reviews reference the awkward cadence of the spoken language and I fully agree. We only seem to get a string of four words, or so, before Munro pauses. I began to think that I’d enjoy reading the text more without this audio - I often read and listen simultaneously. In the, I cut my losses and downloaded another version.

Fabulous Performance

This book is exceedingly well read. Each character is given a distinctive voice and the accent subtly varies.
I'm not a big fan of the story itself. It's so over the top, but I suppose that's partly what has given Huckleberry Finn an enduring place in the hears of other readers. I may not have liked it, but it was still an interesting journey down the Mississippi River.
