This is full-on Brautigan. His poetic imagination has free flow in this delightful and unreal story. I read it many years ago and have remembered loving it then. Now that I’m older and more into poetry and literature I enjoyed the imaginative, indeed crazy, juxtapositions even I more. The narrator is perfect.
