The best of Robert Greenes books

A good story. Much less of the tedious ancient history analogies in The 48 laws of power and The power of seduction. A bit more on 50 Cent would have been good. Regardless an excellent book that I will listen to again.

Awesome but amoral

A lot of great information and motivating truth. I didn't like the amoral view of humanity though. I disagree that all humans are selfish to the core and never to be trusted or relied upon. I think the recommendation to use your friends and never depend on anyone is not a good one, both morally and functionally. In the hood it makes sense things are like that, but that is not good advice in and lot of other areas .. . maybe there are even ways to get out of the hood without screwing people over. I don't know. Worth a read but take with a grain of salt I say.

Classic Robert Greene but with a modern hero

I enjoyed hearing the audiobook being told by the author and he does a supreme job. The only complaint I have is that re-tells some stories multiple times (for example he re-tells the shooting of 50 cent about five times).
By the way, you'll find out one of Robert's favourite words is "supremely"

Good lessons just a bit repetitive

As always a good Robert Green book with useful lessons and applications. Just found it slightly repetitive with context setting in every chapter. Still a good read and would recommend it.

The Fearlessness Approach

Any additional comments?

Having been through twice I have found this to be one of my favourites. This book can be picked up at any point and flows from then on. So does not need to be followed intently. Which was nice as I was listening to it while working on something else. The narration is monotonous but works very well for this type of book.

The whole concept of fearlessness is not wholly focused on 50 (his whole story is compelling aswell) but looks into many great historical figures and their use of it. From fear of taking what you want, to fearing death, it is all in there. The 50th Law was a hit with me because I could relate to the fearlessness approach. If you do too, then this will help you to push it even further. Also, if you are a fearful type this read may help you to break away that little bit more. Either way, just experiment with it for fun.

Excellent book

Wow, this was an amazing book! It gave me many insights as to how one can step up to challenges faced in the worst situations and make it a way of life. I definitely need to keep rereading it so that all the points can sink into my brain .

Very good

Very good audio book. Greene's voice is at first annoying, but you get used to it the anecdotes, story's and philosophical references really inspire.
I wish there were more audio books like this

Fascinating stuff

Okay, I am wondering if maybe I'm being a bit of a sucker here - there are some valid arguments for slating this book - taking itself a bit too seriously, lacking humour, dubious connections to and input from 50 Cent - but nevertheless I found this fascinating. The ideas are so true - people tend to respect those who have no fear and can face people down; it is vital to be able to walk away from any deal you are not happy with; 50 Cent probably really did learn a lot of the "laws of power" on the street, and these are explained well here. The fault is in the slightly jumbled-up-ness of the book - Robert Greene's The 48 Laws of Power is slightly more focused - but given that I have played this through a few times, it rates as one of my favourites.

One Of Greene's Best

I love Greene's writing, and I gained a new found respect for Curtis Jackson. This book should be listened to by all who care about self-development.

Get real

A reality check of a book, with learning points on dealing with others and the conflicting emotions surrounding our actions and the interpretation of others actions. Well written and well read.

When you need courage and when you are lost

The book share some similar themes with Robert’s other books. Stories of people who no longer have fears are tremendous, although it’s not everyone who would have that ‘escaped from death’ experience to help them get there. Very good book for people who deep down desire the strength and fearlessness.

As a fan of 50 Cent, I discovered this book and Mastery. I must say that The 50th Law surprised me in how inspring and educational it is, even as much as Mastery!
