Publisher's Summary

4 -Hour Work Week, by Timothy Ferris | Summary & Analysis.

A smarter you in 15 minutes. What is your time worth?

In these times, the economy is unpredictable; people need to do away with retirement concepts that don't work for their life plan, if there is no proper management of income. It doesn't matter whether one is earning huge salaries, or living a humble life.

This audiobook has been designed to teach steps to be taken in a luxurious lifestyle. The author has further elaborated this by giving Tim as an example. Initially, Tim used to earn $40,000 annually, but later on he started earning the same amount on a monthly basis. Further, the audiobook teaches you how to outsource your life abroad, by embracing virtual aid which will cost you only five dollars per hour.

Moreover, it touches on how people can travel without necessarily resigning from their jobs, ways of eliminating almost half the amount of work you do in two days, by use of principles of a forgotten Italian economist, ways of trading in a career that requires a long haul for work, that are short with busting and frequent mini-retirements.

Don't waste your money.

It's a horrible summary, weird formatting, hard to follow. I decided to get the full book instead.

Summaries lose too much important content

I think that this kind of summaries leave out content that justify, exemplify and explain how you can use a method to improve.

This kind of books rarely tell you something really new, but the way they frame it and explain it helps you to adapt part of your life to such concepts. A summary leaves too few time for reflection

A bit brief

A very brief summary. Perhaps a cliff notes version would be more appealing and fulfilling.

Read or listen the actual book first

Fast recap to get the key point of the original. Decent summary, but can't do without reading/listening the book.

Freedom through automation and efficiency

The summary is well composed to explain finding freedom from the typical work structure using automation, efficiency, and disciplined choices.

Solid overview.

Although I appreciate the effort, I was looking for the outsource vehicles used by Ferris.

NOT A STAND ALONE BOOK!

I bought this thinking it would be a quick easy summary of the 13hr main book, in most cases the main content is drawn out with stories etc to hammer home points and I had incorrectly thought this would be straight to the point in a way that was understandable, unfortunately it wasnt. No short cuts in life! Ill need to read/listen to the full book to get the best out of the summary.

Useful nuggets of info

As it is a 31 minutes summary one should expect the audio to contain little in depth information. But the audio reveals few concepts and idea that anyone would find useful. So I will be getting the book.

this book is for employers

If you are working for someone else, and you don't have the funds to quit everything and start something on your own. this isn't for you. lucky it was only 2€.
