About this listen

Murdoch’s past has finally come crashing down on him. His former girlfriend. His Family. He’s been happily avoiding them for ages, trying to live something close to a normal life. But now he’s been drawn back into another one of their ludicrous attempts to bring about the end of all things.

Chase has spent the past year just trying to get away. Trying to escape the memories that won’t stop following him, the moment when his life collapsed. He’s traveled around the world trying to stay ahead of it all, but those final moments may be catching up with him at last.

Anne is tired of living in the past. She’s finally looking to the future and embracing her destiny. She’s going to lead the Family forward on their greatest, final crusade to destroy the hated Machine of their long-time adversary.

Their paths will intersect in the middle of nowhere, on an uncharted island where the walls of reality are thin...and an apocalyptic threat is tearing its way through.

Great book full of the sorts of paradoxes and Hitchcockian horror we expect of Peter Clines.

Terminus - great book!

Terminus dives deep on the areas left vague in the previous chapters and it does a damn fine job. It's scope is vastly wider than the previous chaoters which makes it feel less 'personal', but that is by no mean a bad thing. Think of 14 and Fold as roasting marshmallows over a fire, while Terminus is the setting off on the grand adventure.

Just as good as 14 and the Fold

This book was pretty much non stop action. I could not stop listening, Ray Porters narration added a whole new dimension (no pun intended) and Clines writing was perfection.

A great ending to a fantastic series

I definitely enjoyed listening to the book. If you enjoy sci-fi, I would recommend this.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed it but it still lacked something that the first one gave. I'm glad it finished with some closure and I don't feel the need for more. It was nice to see an original character back and hear about the others in passing.

Good but not as good as the first

I don’t know how he does it! Clines has written another strong, involving and intense story that kept me thoroughly hooked to the the last. Just love his language, tone and humour! Can only highly recommend ALL his books.

Another excellent story from Clines!

I love the universe Peter Clines created, and this is a brilliant addition. Exciting story with great characters and some fantastic twists. Do your self a favour and buy this book!

my first ever cthulhu book and i loved it! (ive heard a lot about cthulhu and stuff but never got any details other than he's bad).

14 and The Fold are still two of my favourite books, and learning that there was finally a third in the story (discounting the unrelated Dead Moon), I got really excited. And although this story didn't quite live up to those two, it was still thoroughly enjoyable and has given me a hunger for more deserted island horror stories! It was also great to have a favourite character from 14 cameo in this story, bringing an added layer of humour and sarcasm to the dialogue.

If 14 and The Fold were perfect 10's, and Dead Moon was a pleasant 8, this would be an 8.5, though I gave it a 5 star rating purely for the fact it continued the main story and brought back the same narrator.

Finally!
