Loved it!

This brings back Sebastian from What Happens in London, Olivia and Harry also make a few appearances. I loved Sebastian in that book and I love him even more in this one. The absolute best character is the Grandmother, Lady Vickers. OMG...laugh out loud funny scenes with her. I laughed so many times with this book, I don't really care that the plot is a little thin. There is no mystery, intrigue, danger, broken hearts, dark secrets, etc., it's just FUN. The dinner scene had me laughing hours afterwards. There are a couple of descriptive loves scenes, tame by my esitmation, along the lines of Lisa Kleypas, Julie Garwood, etc.

Very Clever & Entertaining

I love Julia Quinn's writing! Not only is she humorous and interesting, she creates characters that you want to know and wish you knew better. Sebastian Gray is a delight, as is the heroin and many of the other characters. The story is light, fun and a joy to listen to. It's great to listen to because there isn't a lot of the vulgar description or language that I find detracts from other author's stories. The story is believable and makes the reader want to go back to the time of the ton... even just for a peak. If you enjoy a good period romance, you will very much enjoy this offering.

3 things I love about you would have been better

This was my first Julia Quinn book and I did enjoy it though she used terms that did not fit the time properly. If you are willing to overlook that then the book was very entertaining. I would have given the book a 4.5 if it was available but well including it here is just as well. The only thing I did not like about this book was the ten things JQ kept listing in the book. A bit silly especially since they were not all meaningful points. Nevertheless, If you like historical romance then this book is a good one to listen to.

Very entertaining!

"Ten Things I Love About You" brings back some of the characters of "What Happens in London". I was not overly impressed with the plot, but I gave the book 4 stars, mainly because it made me laugh so many times. I love the author's sense of humour and her writing style; she's got that special way with words that makes the reading so pleasant and enjoyable. Rosalyn Landor (narrator) is outstanding, as usual, and makes you feel like you are 'watching' a movie... The story itself is not very believable but who cares if it's funny and well written! :) My favourite character is the Grandmother, who adds the "spice" to the plot. It's a shame the book contains some unnecessarily detailed erotic scenes, otherwise it would be perfect for all age groups.
All in all, a suitable book for listening while driving.

It was fun

I like reading Julia Quinn's books because her characters are really likable and enjoyable. This book was no exception. Unfortunately, this book did not have an interesting plot as her previous book "what happens in London" or her wonderful Bridgerton books. Still, it was a good light listening.

❤❤ My Personal Favorite JQ Audiobook! ❤❤

Oh wow! I have fallen hard for Julia Quinn!! And Rosalyn Landor's performance was one of her best!

This is my favorite of all JQ's audiobooks. (I've now listened to all of them.) It's clever and witty, with a perfect balance if passion and drama to keep you up late into the night listening. It will leave you wanting more! In fact, I've listened to this book at least three times in the last few months.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST BUY FOR HISTORICAL ROMANCE FANS!!

Sebastian Grey is possibly my favorite Hero in Historical Romance. He is a charming, funny and wildly attractive. I love each of the books in the Bevelstoke series, I recommend listening to them all. But I listened out of order and had no trouble understanding the plot.

If you have read What Happens in London, you've already met Sebastian, who was one of the most entertaining people in that book, as the hero's best friend. He more than deserved his own book! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Quinn introduces her characters. Annabel, his heroine, is a perfect match for Mr. Grey.

The story is filled with lovable and fascinating secondary characters; Annabel's grandmother is one of the most interesting and quirky characters I've read in a long time! I loved the plot, which never felt contrived.

With the fantastic story and Landor's stellar performance, this audiobook will not disappoint!!

Pick one – disgusting Earl or charming nephew

Annabelle is expected to marry a wealthy Earle with one foot in the grave in order to help her financially challenged family. The Earle is old enough to be her grandfather and is quite disgusting – but he lost his only son and needs an heir quickly. His nephew, Sebastian, will inherit if the Earl does not produce an heir and he hates Sebastian. Sebastian is an absolute charmer. He is considered a lovable rake. He is also a writer, but no one knows he is the author because he writes under the name of a female. I adore Sebastian. He is a great character.

Sebastian and Annabelle meet and the chemistry is definitely strong between them. Then the uncle, the Earl, and the nephew, Sebastian, begin the battle for Annabelle. The Earl wants her because he thinks she would be a good child bearer with wide hips. Sebastian wants her because he loves her. Annabelle’s family needs her to marry the Earl because they are destitute. Annabelle wants Sebastian but does not want to let her family down. All comes to a head at a house party where the battle is waged in earnest.

I really hope there are more Bevelstoke novels out there!!

Julia Quinn novels are always humorous, but this one is hilarious!! Loved it!! MORE than credit worthy!!!! Rosalyn Landor does a fabulous job as always! She does wonderful male and female voices which is remarkable because not many voice artists do both well.

Romantic but racy in the Pride & prejudice era

What made the experience of listening to Ten Things I Love About You the most enjoyable?

This is the third book in the Bevelstoke series. (No1 was The secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever & No2 was What happens in London). It is up to Julia Quinn's usual standard - romantic but a bit racy and all set in the Pride & Prejudice era.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked how it flowed from the first two books but that the references to them were such that you could read it without having read the first two books.

What does Rosalyn Landor bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

She emphasised the emotions really well and brought it to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I couldn't 'put it down' and even missed one of my favourite programme on TV to finish it off.
