About this listen
Tano may be inGara now, but he feels anything but secure.
Born to the inTasiyo, bitter enemies of the inGara, Tano is trying hard to behave perfectly and win acceptance among his new people. But he fears that any misstep might mean the lord of the inGara casts him out. Tano could lose more than his place with his new tribe: he could lose Ryo’s good opinion and encouragement, his tentative new friendships, his younger brother—everything that matters to him. He would rather die.
Then, Vayu inKera, also once inTasiyo, brings Tano an urgent problem, asking for his help. Tano owes Vayu too great a debt to refuse—whatever the cost.

Another great story of the Ugaro
I really liked the story; however, I felt the narration was really poor, which made it difficult to get through. Many words mispronounced (enmity in particular), names pronounced several different ways, and inGara and inKera rhyming made it difficult to follow. I feel it would be much better read than listened to. Sorry.

Striving for honour in trying times.
Tanu, Vayu, Raga and Arayo set out on an epic quest across the winter lands with dubious advisability and little permission. Their struggle to contend with dishonourable enemies while Vayu and Tano attempt to learn how to meet their new tribes expectations form a surprisingly good story. Arayo's feelings about being given to inGara as a Tuyo are also debated. Four ponies are reduced to one, and a solo ride across the plains for help give us plenty of time to get to know Tano better. I was slightly distracted by the narrator pronouncing a few major characters names quite differently to other narrators, but this was just a niggle, the narration was actually good.
