There is a lot of diversity amongst the characters which I loved. I was also happily surprised to find a 'ship I was really rooting for throughout, with a nice slow burn.
I started out reading an ARC, but the audiobook became available in that time and honestly I can highly recommend in that format as well, it's really well done.
I absolutely cannot wait for the next instalments in the Shadow Host trilogy.
