About this listen
"Patch online…"
Five years ago, I disappeared from the life I had and built this one. I spend my days and most of my nights on the line, helping my clients achieve their goals. They call me when they are in a jam or are getting ready to move on a target.
I'm their information specialist. The woman in the chair. I'm their switchboard.
Intelligence, electronic eyes, computer hacking—I do it all. My singular goal is to bring my clients home safely. Some clients are more special than others. We all play favorites. I know them, they've never seen me.
No one sees me.
They can hear me. They can talk to me.
I will always answer.
Until the day I don't.
Talk to Me is book one in a duet and is a full-length dark thriller romance with multiple love interests and a heroine they love but have never seen. This is a reverse harem novel, meaning the main female character does not have to choose. Of course, it also means the guys have to agree, and well, that's part of the journey.
Narrated in duet style.
©2024 Heather Long (P)2024 Podium Audiothe book itself, I wouldn't call it "dark romance". it's just action packed and there is definitely some graphic details in injuries etc. the world building was amazing.
But I found it slow, if you enjoy slow romance then this is probably for you. it's fast paced in action, but I found the relationship building and what not was very slow (barely any besides a few stolen kisses and adorable flirting).
the most exciting part for me was the end. great cliffhanger.
but not enough for me personally to rush on to book two.
amazing narrators !

For that, I blame John Hartley. He was Annoying. Talk about (yes, that was a pun) overacting. He sounded like an old fashioned radio PI (aka, a ‘d*ck’ - oddly accurate description). The more I listened, the more irritating he became. If you like your men to slowly growl every sentence, then you will adore this guy. I found him ridiculous. In contrast, Brook Daniels was excellent. I will look for more books with her reading them.
OK book. one good narrator, one bad
