Adventure in the South Seas.

When Irishman Corky O’Brian opened his bar, the Hanging Monkey, on the island of Motugra, he had no idea it would become a magnet for some of the most colorful rogues ever to ply their trades in the South Seas. The cast includes his lovely, but deadly, Chinese waitress, Miko; Khuna, the powerful island warrior; sea captain Nick Fortune; and pilot Jimmy Dolan. Together, these five colorful characters fight their way through one breathtaking adventure after another, courtesy of writers Bill Craig, J. Walt Layne, Don Gates, Nancy Hansen, and Lee Houston, Jr.

From chasing after a cursed diamond to uncovering the mystery of a lethal mermaid, when you stop in at the Hanging Monkey, there’s no telling what will happen next! These are old-fashioned South Seas tales done new-pulp style, with fast-paced action amidst tropical sea breezes that will have listeners clamoring for more.

Airship 27 has an odd anti-talent

If you're looking for audio entertainment, don't bother! The stories, (I supppose) are good enough, but Airship 27 Entertainment has an odd talent for finding possibly the worst audiobook narrators available. This is the second attempt for me to listen to one of their productions only to be yanked out of the action by terrible intonation and delivery. The narrator speaks with a bizarre lilt that continuously places the accent of a sentence at the wrong part, and not a single line is delivered conversationally. I made it in further here than The Lemon Herberts, but still Airship 2'7's lack of quality control irritated me straight out of their literary efforts.
My only consolation is that I got this book off a free download code. I certainly wouldn't risk tokens or cash on them.

A Fortune in Adventure

I love these stories. A couple of hours away from the hustle and bustle of daily drudgery with the cast of a casba in the South Pacific. I don want to make too much praise on the story I wrote, but the work of Bill Craig, Don Gates, Lee Houston, and Nancy Hansen shine. High Adventure!!!
