Fueled by memories of a fallen world and revenge, Nick takes on a quest to take down the all-powerful [Admin]. Armed with nothing more than his grit, his experience, and an unyielding will, his every decision becomes a high-stakes gamble in a world changed by the coming of the system.
Powerful and otherworldly foes obstruct his path, their strength formidable enough to pulverize any ordinary man. But Nick is far from ordinary. He embodies humanity's best hope to overcome the catastrophe known as System Fall and to challenge the [Admin].
This is more than a fight for survival. It's a battle for redemption, a rebellion against the system, and a quest to rewrite destiny. Can Nick surpass the limits of being human, outmaneuver his enemies, defy the [Admin], and carve a new path for humanity?

The main character is generally unlikeable, which is fine, but he's also very bland. In fact, the same goes for most of the bit-part characters he meets, who mostly seem to be there to fill the role of character, but have little individual personality. They may as well be nameless NPCs. The MC meets and journeys with various groups, but I can't remember a single character's name or personality; they all seem to be either "NPC who expects everybody to help them" or "NPC who is selfish and greedy". It is good that the author has these less-than-savoury characters, I just wish there were more depth to them.
Writing quality is average for self-published KU. It's overly wordy at times, with a lot of unneeded repetition and a number of incorrect words, incorrect use of transitive lay, dangling modifiers and participles, problems with past tense and past perfect, singular-plural mismatches, and so on.
The main character's system knowledge is used as an excuse for plot armour too many times. There are also many inconsistencies, some of which are glaringly obvious, though most of them are incidental to the main plotline. There are scenes where the main character notices the same thing for the first time multiple times. There are scenes where characters will say things that directly contradict the events of the previous chapter. And abilities, battles, and power levels are all over the place.
The narrative involves far too much exposition on the main character's thoughts, telling rather than showing. It seems rather disconnected at times, too, with characters sometimes behaving inconsistently and the prose not flowing naturally.
Audiobook narration is fine. There's mild characterisation for character dialogue and I don't recall any mispronunciations.
Overall this is moderately competent LitRPG, but it feels like it's just going through the motions, and all of the inconsistencies make me think that even the author wasn't very interested in it.
