Publisher's Summary

I knew how old she was. I just didn’t care.

Ryker

Aria Amherst lied about her age the first night we met. But when I kissed her...I knew exactly how old she was. And once I kissed her...I needed more.

I wanted all of her. I wanted everything she wasn’t really offering. Until I found out that her father was making a deal with my business partner.

Then I wanted her more.

Aria

Ryker North blew into my life like a wall of hot, tattooed muscle. And did I mention he’s a drummer? And a businessman? And 35 years old?

And my father is going to kill me when he finds out I’m dating his new client. It’s...complicated.

But take my word on this. He’s worth every risk I’m taking.

Sweet Thing is a full-length stand-alone older-man-very-young-woman sexy romance filled with forbidden lust, too many "first times" to count, inappropriate touching in public, and an angsty, but perfect, HEA.

Includes a special note from the author.

May/December 😊

Funny that I enjoyed this book today. As tomorrow is my 25th wedding anniversary of my perfect 32 years of my May/December life. I was 20 & he was 42. Now I’m 52 & my husband is 74. It can work and it’s not anything like your imaging. It’s perfect, has always been perfect & I would do it all again exactly the same. When souls are meant to be, it will all work it as long as you stay true to your heart. As always Juile, you mange to bring my emotions to the brink. Always an auto purchase.

Emma and Christian's voices are hot hot hot

I could listen to them speak about the phone book. Both of them were so good. As far as the story, the only part I didn't care for was that she did sounded like a brat more than a sweet thing in the beginning, I was annoyed with her because even for an 18yr who let someone do what they did then act like a kid. Other than that I liked it, The flow was good, no dead spots of getting bored with the story. I would like to see their story continue "sweet thing 2", maybe add in a 3rd party to their "firsts". Anyways, many ideas of what could be done now that they are just getting started in a relationship.

Yikes...

(A little bit of Spoilers) ... .. . I don't have anything against age difference in relationships but um... yikes 😬... when he kept mentioning how he liked em young... i just kept thinking in my head, PEDOPHILIA!! & then how he just kept thinking and making it a mission to have sex with her, even when she wasn't 18 yet. uhhhh... yeah... that did bother me throughout the entire book, and other things too. Besides that, I liked Christian Fox's narration but not so much of Emma Wilder. I thought her narration was okay. So yeah overall 3 stars bc I thought this book was meh but wasn't a DNF.

Hmmmm... torn

**** Spoilers ahead**** So... I’m torn with this one.... I’m very open minded when it comes to age differences, romantic in however someone sees fit, healthy sex lives, no matter how many people and sexual proclivities they may have.... But one detail that creeps up when you get “comfortable” with the romance and sexy parts of this plot.... This book would be SO much better if the lead female’s encounter was, at minimum, 3 months later in the scheme of life... either way, references of love and “the rest of my life” phrases from her...when she’s 18... and HASNT GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL YET... The innocent virgin with hot experienced older man trope can be hot... but not when she’s talking about going to prom! ☠️ it makes me feel a bit creepy to be turned on by every other detail of the story! That one damn detail randomly pops up after it hasn’t been mentioned in a while... and right after something super sexy or romantic... it’s a jarring reminder and has me literally saying “wtf” or wincing bc it’s like a metaphorical bucket of ice thrown on you after getting out of a sauna. Uncomfortable to say the least.

Breaking free

Okay, get your shock let out now, when I tell you that this is a story about a eighteen-year-old, and and a thirty-five-year old man. It seems so miss matched, but in a lot of ways it’s not. But, Aria could not have found a better supposed, one and done, birthday present if she tried. You see, two days before, she turns eighteen, she meets Mr. North. The man trying to gain access, into the artist co-op, where she needs to vote as proxy, for her twenty-five-year-old sister. The sister, she is house sitting for, during the next month. Because he says, a one and done, but when he sees how naive yet, determined, Aria, is. He rather, take care of her, than allow someone to take from her, not only her first time, but her innocence, sweetness, and beliefs. He didn’t want to be, just that guy, to her. You see, her sister is considered the wild child, as far as her parents are concerned. She is always pushing the envelope. She would be the artsy-fartsy one, like her mom. Aria on the other hand, is like her father. More reserved, business awareness, a homebody to the point, where they live in the suburbs, but they all work, and go to school in the city. You see, Aria’s family is extremely wealthy. Point being, her parents didn’t give her a car for her sixteenth, like her sister, or her seventeenth, you see her dad still drives her to and from school. Meaning after school, instead of hanging out with friends, she goes to daddy’s office, until the end of his work day. So, Aria is now, looking at this spring break as a way to, really be able to spread her wing. Then, after the co-op meeting when, Ryker comes over to thank her for voting in his favor, and ask her out for a drink. She says, coffee but not in her own neighborhood. Then, she decides to invite him to, her sister’s for, coffee. But, when she gets there, her panic sets in, as to the error of her ways. When she finally confesses to, Ryker, he kisses her, then leaves after she tells him she turns eighteen, in two days. Her dad takes his roll of boundaries a little too far. So, when things finally blow between dad and daughter they really blow big time. Did Ryker go to far with pushing the limits absolutely and he mans up. I give him props. Mom is getting total props too. Don’t get me wrong Ryker is scandalous at first, the way he is jonesing. But, this Kitty called, Aria, learns quickly how to use all her womanly charm to, wind him nice, and tight. At the same time, she could flip, and turn on the spoiled rich girl, which surprises her sometimes, too. Not her normal. When you smother something eventually, it will want to break free. I have this book would come across in a normal read but I’m in my trial free audible and this was a good pick narration perfect. Love author’s chat at the end.

NICE!

Great story for a younger reader then me! I’m pushing 60, so the whole “younger girl” storyline is depressing and a little creepy. BUT it was very well written. And I highly recommend 😁

Lost me in chapter 1

I quit right after she lied about her identity for no logical apparent reason. Also, letting a man touch her face she, literally, just met. Not to mention going off with him. I just can't with the stupid females.
