Publisher's Summary

From NY Times and USA Today best-selling author J. Daniels.

Wedding hookups never amount to anything. Those who partake in this wicked little activity know the rules. Get in. Get laid. Get out. There's no expectation of a relationship. It is what it is.

Dylan Sparks knows the rules. She's familiar with the protocol. And she engages in the best sex of her life with a complete stranger at her ex-boyfriend's wedding. Reese Carroll doesn't care about the rules. He wants more than just one night with Dylan. And Dylan finds him too addicting to pass up.

Sweet Addiction is the story of one woman's struggle to keep things casual and one man's desire to never let her go.

Warning: This audiobook is recommended for listeners over the age of 18 due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

Great story fell into my lap

I loved this story despite the fact that the bakery played only a small part in it. The author has some writing tics that the grammarian in me flagged as careless, potentially confusing writing frowned upon by English teachers everywhere. The narrator did a fine job.

Average read..

If u like sex go for this book, if u want story go find something else.. this has a decent story with so much sex on it.. the side cast are easily forgettable, the story line is a bit predictable, piper's performance is top notch nonetheless.. her narration gave this book a good listen..

I bought the 2nd one too which i do not recommend.. its exactly like this but this time, they're one their way to getting married and it has a Sh***y antagonist..

VERY SWEET & VERY ADDICTIVE TOO

Yes Dylan and Joey, her Gay best friend, had been invited to her ex boyfriend's wedding but she attended because she had baked the wedding cake and also because her other best friend Jules is the Wedding Planner who is also a guest. But when she accidentally lands in the lap of THE most handsome sexy Adonis she's ever seen her focus is switched to him and only him..... what cake, whose wedding, who is he and how soon could they have sex.

When Dylan is introduced to Reese the sparks and sexual chemistry between them are way off the charts then steamy looks progress to a passionate hot encounter in the men's restroom but afterwards things get awkward when a flip comment is misunderstood and, when his marital status comes into question, Dylan flips out. So, when she gets the chance to confront the cheating scumbag the next day, she can't wait to reacquaint their bodies..... but this time it's her hand hitting his face. And this, believe it or not, starts off a 'no strings sex only' relationship that, according to Dylan, can include any surface except a bed or sleepovers (and so they're quite inventive). But feelings, misunderstandings, miscommunications and an overheard conversation leads to angst, tears, heartache, broken hearts and broken dreams. It was meant to be sex only - no strings.... but it never ever was.

Dylan and Reese are both very likeable characters, Reese is a sexy, sweet and thoughtful perfect Hero, Dylan and her two best friends are all very close, they're conversations are very quick witted and fun and they both play a strong part in the story. There's humor, witty banter, lots of hot sexcapades and a plot that flowed along nicely. Told from Dylan's POV by Piper Goodeve who effortlessly brings plot, storyline and characters to life.

Worth a credit? This listen was so so much more than I was expecting..... very romantic, sweet, hot, funny, entertaining and with a 'just one more chapter' storyline that was perfectly narrated.... so creditworthy? Oh boy is it ever...... (that's as YES by the way).

okay start, but couldn't finish.

I thought the narrator was fine, but did not care for the story line much. I've only returned a book once, but seriously considered it on this one. Only made it to chapter 6.
It was like cheap porn, where there's a cheesy plot and then right to the not-very-convincing sex-scene. Sorry. Just my opinion.

Not for me

I thought the romance package would include my regular authors like Danielle Steele but it does not. Instead most of the included books seem to be this quality pretty ordinary. I could only manage about half an hour
and that was it.

A great listen!

Love this story, it's hot, flirty, sweet with a dash of angst. As well as loving Reese and Dylan you'll find that the supporting characters are just as important and wonderful as this story evolves. Piper Goodeve nailed the narration, making this a fabulous listen. Highly recommend this audiobook.

3.5 Cute Fun Story

My thoughts about Sweet Addiction. This was such a cute story, it had a lot of the qualities I really love in a book but something held me back from really loving it and I'm not quite sure I can even pinpoint exactly what it was. I'm thinking 3.5-4 stars.

Dylan (h) is looking for a hook up just one night at a wedding that just so happens to be her exes. Wedding hook ups never amount to anything...right?

Reese (H) knows the rules knows the game and is no stranger to one night stands, but he wants more than one night with Dylan.

Dylan doesn't want more, but it was the best sex she's ever had, so maybe a casual relationship? A no strings attached, monogamous but casual relationship...that should work. No way she will let it turn to anything more and especially with Reese's reputation, it would for sure turn into heartbreak.

As I'm writing this I think this is why I just couldn't give it a full 5 star rating. I may have liked the secondary characters more than the main characters. I really did like Reese and Dylan for the most part but the slapping got way out of control for me. The initial smack because of the marriage ordeal I got it, it didn't bother me at all, but then all the other times just seemed a little over the top. And I also couldn't get the fact that the "F word" and the word "Hot" is used so many times it started to annoy me. Having said that I really enjoyed the book, I got a few good laughs and it was quite steamy too. I will definitely listen to the next book.
Piper Goodeve was good with the delivery of the story

Needs More Story

it was okay but needs more story. line .the sex scenes were good but at a point it became just sex to much..that I began to fast forward past parts. there was no real relationship build up..the heroin was ok she overreacted far too much to situations.. I wouldn't recommend that anyone pay full price for it.. hopefully the next book gives more of a storyline and character development. still not sure if I'm buying it or not..still thinking on it.

Crudely juvenile

Not much of a story here. A lot of sex that does not move the storyline forward. I always have issues when the female character (why is it always the female character?) assumes the worst and then doesn't seek clarification. The set up and how it's handled is totally unlike how anybody I've ever met would've handled it. It's just so stupidly unrealistic, I swear my eye muscles are tired from all the eye rolling. The guy falls instantly in love with the girl for no clear reason that I can discern even though he's a major player and women apparently fall at his feet all the time and--get this-- he's historically disdained ever having a girlfriend. But, magically, like a light switch, he's completely changed his personality with a quick lay with her, a virtual stranger, in a bathroom stall. She has a stupid self-imposed rule about not sleeping in his bed because that is just too intimate, but, by all means let's do it everywhere else. Then, when the bed thing occurs, let's have all sorts of unnecessary angst about it. Ugh. I think there's a lot of young ladies out there hoping they might actually find Mr. Right in just this kind of scenario. News flash, these guys are users. They do not change their personalities over night. On the plus side, the narrator did a great job with what she had to work with. Also, even though the whole thing was F-bombtastic, the characters all had likable personalities despite not being believable. I can only imagine the great reviews are from F-bomb loving 17 year olds who think this is how you should actually conduct a relationship. Here I go with another eye roll.
