Publisher's Summary

One night of complete surrender is all it takes.

Gareth Harris is Manchester United's reclusive star defender. He has control over all aspects of his life. But a lifetime of supporting his siblings and filling in for an emotionally absent father has taken its toll.

Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. Now recently divorced and struggling with shared custody of her daughter, control is a fleeting concept for this American living in England.

Both Gareth and Sloan are in need of a release. A moment in time where they can forget about their pasts and family pressures...and just...surrender. No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.

Surrender is part one of the Final Harris Brother Duet and concludes with Dominate. This duet is a great listen on its own, but to maximize enjoyment, check out the first three brothers books in Challenge, Endurance, and Keeper.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

So I waited until book 5 was sent to Audible before starting this series and tonight when I finished this book, Audible still hasn't put it up on the website and now I'm going CRAZY!!!! I Need the next book YESTERDAY! OMG this book has a huge cliffy!!

I wasn't sure when this one started if I was going to love it cause i'm not a fan of one of the main aspects of Gareth & Sloan's relationship but let me tell you, Amy Daws wrote it in the best way I've ever read and I ended up loving everything about it. Gareth is a loaner, kinda quiet and has some childhood issues he really needs to get over. Sloan's life is falling apart around her and she needs to be in control of it again. Together these two figure out what each other needs the most and it works for them. The sex scenes in this book are crazy hot which surprised me very much with my normal opinion of this type of relationship. I fell in love with these two very quickly! Again like in all the other book in this series, there are a lot of family moments and I love that all the previous characters continue to have big roles in each book! Now I'm stuck waiting.... and waiting and I might die if Dominate isn't available today!! Seriously I NEED IT NOW!!!!!

The narration was great, I was surprised when I saw a new female narrator until I realized that Sloan is American, then it made perfect sense and Piper Goodeve was an excellent choice!!!

Wow!

Amazing listen! Full of passion, humor, and drama. I loved Sloan and Gareth’s story. The next part needs to hurry up and get here! Amazing narrators too, they brought the story to vivid life through the duet style of narration, different voices for each character, and so much emotion. An overall amazing listen that I highly recommend. I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Amazing as Always

First of all the narration by all 3 is totally amazing. The story is a wonderful continuation of the Harris Family. This story gives us a bigger picture of the past and family trials. The emotional narration by Will is so raw and absorbing. Get your tissues. Gareth and Sloan are not an easy couple they both have many issues to work on. Sofia is a great character also. This story is highly recommend but needs the second book for sure.

Oh my god this book!!

Okay first of all, Will Watt is amazing!!! His voice and accent are so perfect for this character!!
I adore Piper Goodeve’s voice! She expresses emotion so fluidly.
And this story!! Wow. It’s seductive and perfect. Amy Daws wrote a story about domination that didn’t turn me off at all! For the first time, I actually understood the reasons why it would be a turn on!! I would highly recommend.

Best in the series so far 👌

Their dynamic checked all the boxes for me. All 3 narrators were great, but I was especially pleased to hear Piper Goodeve lovely voice.

Warning: this one ends on a crazy surprise, so listeners will want to already have the next one downloaded and ready to go. 🎧

Wow!!

Understand why the Arthur left this Harris brother for last. While the other books have been great and amazing love stories. This one has so much depth. I have found my self crying several times but also laughing. Glad I waited till both books were released because what a cliffhanger!! Also, the narration is AMAZING!!

Part 1 of 2 and a good start.

I've only listened to one of the previous stories in this series so I had an idea about 'moody/mysterious Gareth" and of course with the mystery comes the "ohhhhh can't wait" moment, right? lol The good news is that you don't have to read/listen the previous books in the series to fully understand/get this one. Amy, the author, does a great job of introducing the family in a way that its not overly done nor get you lost. So feel free to dive right into this book!

I enjoyed this audiobook! There were great characters, fun moments and of course, steamy moments! LOVED the siblings support and interaction with each other. You can 'see' their bond and that they are there for each other! The secondary characters were a hoot! I loved seeing Gareth with his niece and his softer side. I also enjoyed how both the MC were open to trying something new (you'll see).

However, as much as I enjoyed SURRENDER, there were a few things that could have been done better. There was potential to make this an awesome book! I do wonder if part of the issue is that it wasn't a complete story. SURRENDER is part 1 of 2 and there is a cliff hanger.

One of the things I didn't like in the previous book was the repetitive narrative of why the MCs couldn't be together. It got to the point where you rolled your eyes and said "really? again with that?". With SURRENDER, the repetitive narrative is still there but at a lower level. So while this was an improvement, its truly not necessary for the story.

More and more books have 'texting' as part of conversations between characters. Its important to know who is saying what and seeing the names on the page to mirror what our phones would show is fine. However, when its in audio, not so much. SURRENDERED is in duet narration and when the conversation occurs between the MCs we KNOW who is the one 'texting/speaking'. So having each of the narrators say who is texting EVERY SINGLE TIME was... well, it got annoying very fast and distracted from the conversation. It also didn't allow for things to flow nicely. I've listened to other books where the characters name are mentioned solely at the first text so we know who is chatting.. wishing this was done instead.

There was something else that I wish would have been handled better... how to include this without spoilers?... Uhm.... The topic can be taboo and its very misunderstood. I didn't like that even though its what the Heroine wanted (and hero), it was approached in a manner as if its a "bad thing". This is where I wished that more research was done and made into a positive thing vs making it into an "I'm not like that!" sort of thing. Again, a bit hard to address without spoilers.

Narrator's Review: Oh I LOVED that there were three narrators for this (and the next book in the series)! Both Will and Charlotte narrated the previous book that I listened to and I was concerned for this one as I wasn't a fan of the performance (don't shoot me!) or rather the tone.. but anyways... in SURRENDER, we get a different female lead narrator and I loved that there were three narrators. Each bringing their best to the game!

Overall, I enjoyed the story even though it ends in a cliff hanger.... Garreth story is so huge (ahem) that it needed two books to tell it! lol. While there is potential for it to have been a much better book, it had a good pace and characters that you want to know more about. And of course wanting to know what happens next!!!

Gareth and Sloan sigh......

Blurb:
One night of complete surrender is all it takes.

Sloan Montgomery is a clothing stylist whose world was turned upside down when she found herself pregnant and moving to Manchester with a man who was never supposed to be her forever. ...surrender.

No one could predict what happens when both of their defences are down.

Review:
Cliffy!! Whyyyyyy I mean I knew this going in, but still.... God I hate those with a passion hahahaha.
This book popped my Amy Cherry and I loved it!! To read the book and to listen audible is a whole different game. I loved listening to this audiobook! Well except for that major cliffy....

So what you need to know is that there is a gorgeous sportsman (Gareth) and a equally gorgeous, strong and protective, single mother (Sloan). The have a "special bond". So when her world falls apart, he is there for her. And how!!
You need to read for yourself the how and what, especially the steamy parts.

What I liked:
You get to meet all the sibblings (I need to read their stories now). And the way miss Daws writes.... Woow I`m so one-clicking the rest of this series, but first I need to read part 2 in this Duet. I needs to know what will happen.

What I didn`t like:
Cliffy! I seriously dislike them. But You can dive right into nr. 2. So it`s no biggie.

I Want More of Sloan & Gareth!

This was my first Harris Brothers book, and to be honest, I wasn't prepared for how gripping it was going to be! I'm still trying to calm my poor heart! Sloan and Gareth's story starts as friends and develops in such a timely manner, you really get to know them, understand them, and root for them! , Amy Daws has done her due diligence when it comes to the world of English football, and can be writing about any of the top footie players! The plot is well thought out, intriguing and HOT AF! seriously, I don't think there's a rating on the Scoville scale high enough! so you have been warned! I loved the duet narration, making it so much easier to follow, and a bit like a film more than a book! If you are a lover of The Archer's format, this is for you! There are a few dodgy accents in there, but not enough to put me off! Will Watt's voice is lovely, rich and his differentiation makes is easy to follow each character, as is Piper Goodeve! Her voice has a nice tone, making it a joy to hear! No Micky Mouse squeakers here! This book has left me wanting, no NEEDING more of the Harris brothers! I'm new to Amy's work, but I can hand on heart say, I'm now a fan! The book has heart, humour and a love story unlike any other! 5* all the way, now can't wait for the second part!

Brilliant!!

As always I absolutely love the audio versions of this series, again the narrators where perfect, the voices well suited to the characters. This book was no different and held my attention right until the end. It was full of emotion and had me fanning myself at times. Gareth Harris has stolen my heart as I knew he would and Sloan is so right for him. I can't wait to hear the next book .

wow amazing audio!

I loved this story Gareth's book was definitely worth the wait, and Will does a another fantastic job as the Voice of the eldest Harris brother. This story had all the feels it was an emotional rollercoaster, Gareth is the most serious brother being the eldest and this story reflects that and WHAT a cliff hanger!

Amy has done her research for this series and it shows in the story all the facts are spot on.

I love that this is a duet it really adds to the authenticity of the story, with the chapters being from both Sloane and Gareth

OMG... What a roller coaster of feelings !!!

I loved Gareth since book one and now finally I get to have his story and what a story it is and don't get me started on the clifhanger that has me wanting a lot more. This is an amazing story that made me laugh and brought me to tears with all the raw emotion from the characters.
This book is beautifully narrated and the interchange between both narrators is amazing, they take you right in to this amazing world ( and I'm not even a football fan 🙈).
Can hardly wait for the next one 😍

Fantastic audio,

This is the first Amy Daws book I’ve just had the pleasure of enjoying.
I’ve just listened to this on audio and it was fabulous I’ve not read the others in the series but I will be going to click these to catch up with the rest of the family.

I swooned laughed & I have to say listening to Gareth struggling with events from he was a little boy floored me, listening to it made it feel so much more real (and Will on the audio for Gareth was brilliant)

Sloan and Gareth’s relationship is complicated what they want and what they need is suppose to separated, friends with benefits but when the lines start to blur and things become clearer, on one side....
it’s time to put the ⚽️ in the other half!

What is more important holding the power and keeping everything in or putting your heart on the line and surrendering?

Just clicked the audio for book 1,
Amy Daws you have a new fan xx

Amazing

I loved this audiobook not only is it duet but even in the female chapter it’s the male narrator that speaks the male parts and the other way round which I love. The mix of British and American accents of both the narrators. This is my first Amy Daws book and I will definitely be reading more of her books, it had me crying with laughter in parts and heart wrenching crying. What a cliffhanger A must read.

Couldn't have been more perfect!

Amy Daws and her beautiful and emotional writing, the Harris brothers, those handsome, sexy footballers that have turned my head from the very start, and probably my favorite narrator out there with the most delicious British accent, Will M. Watt: What an explosive, magnificent mix! This was perfection from the first second to the last. Just… OMG! Oh, and did I mention that it’s duet narration? Seriously, this one has all the goodies I could ever wish for, as has the rest of this series. But SURRENDER has two, well, three things, the previous ones didn’t have: For one, it has the wonderfully talented Piper Goodeve lending her voice to Sloan, our American heroine, but it has also special appearances by the amazing Charlotte Fouche, who portrays the British female characters, as previously (did I mention I absolutely love this one??), and last but not least, it has a freaking cliffhanger!! Yep, you read that right, Gareth’s, the oldest Harris brother’s story, is not a standalone but a duet! Gaahh!! I’m elated and frustrated… all at once. Frustrated, because I didn’t expect it (nope, I didn’t read the synopsis, I never do with books by my favorite authors), elated, because I’m not yet ready to see the Harris brothers go…

Sooo… Gareth. Gareth has been somewhat elusive throughout his brothers’ stories. There’s not really much you know about him. At all. Well, apart from the fact that he isn’t collecting his fair share of notches in the bedpost like his teammates do – like you expect from a successful bachelor athlete like him – and that, different from his brothers, he is playing for Manchester. An enigma, but now it’s finally his time to shine!

And boy, there’s so much to this man that we couldn’t have dreamed of if we tried. It’s beautiful, it ugly, it’s different, and it’s definitely heartbreaking. Gareth surprised me, more than once (as did that freaking ending! But I digress…), and in Sloan he has found his perfect match.

Reaching the end of this book, there was still so much left unsaid, so many questions not answered, that the feeling in my stomach grew that this wouldn’t be the end to their tale. And then came the sledgehammer. And then it DID end! I mean, really??? Yeah, I still have one or the other bone to pick with Gareth Harris… keeping secrets like that…

DOMINATE cannot come soon enough!!
