Haymitch will forever be my favourite character
The symbolism, the care, the pain, the brutal intent and obvious vicious beauty. This book needed to exist, not just for the hungergames universe but for society. as a reminder.

The voice actor.
The narration just fits perfectly, especially the dramatic parts and emphasis. What an incredible book, cry-worthy for sure.

Heart wrenching addition to the Hunger Games world. All the little Easter eggs for long time fans was amazing (some obvious and others more subtle). The comparison of how media is used in people of power to suppress resistance is chilling. The ongoing resistance in all its shapes heart-warming.

Suzanne Collins does it again
Wow. Suzanne Collins the woman that you are. I didn’t expect to be as blown away by this book as I was. Weaving in characters we know from the original series, getting to see them in a new light, such a thrill. Heartbreaking, brilliant, wonderful. Especially the epilogue.
