Great book for those who struggle with sleep, or really anyone and everyone who cares about their own health, their family's health, or the productivity of any of their organizations.

A wake-up call to anyone!

A wake-up call to anyone who questions the importance of good, natural sleep and how it can have an impact on society as a whole. Not as much a "how-to" as it is a "why to".

It was eye-opening!

It was eye-opening to learn about wine, caffeine, the circadian rhythm, our master clock the “suprachiasmatic nucleus”? I will definitely make lifestyle changes because of everything I learned from this book about sleep and those behaviors that affect it.

My health is better than ever.

This book changed my life. I’ve now claimed my nighttime hours through a bedtime ritual, and sleep more and deeper than I ever have — and my health is better than ever.

Work-obsessed and sleep-deprived.

The studies and analysis proving the health and long-term benefits of good sound sleep challenge the glorification of being work-obsessed and sleep-deprived.

Listen to this!

Listen to this. My first impression was "why would I need to read a book on sleep?" It's made me very aware of why I might do or behave in a certain way in 6 hours or less.

Recommended to me!

This book was recommended to me by my granddaughter who is a scientist and it is one of the most interesting and worthwhile books I have listened to. The explanation of why we sleep is amazing. A necessary book in this hectic world.

This is one of the most interesting!

This is one of the most interesting and awe-inspiring books I’ve listened to in the last couple of years. I learned so much about the far-reaching health implications of sleep and sleep deprivation. So good in and of itself, but packed with a ton of self-care and pastoral care applications.

Thank you and well explained!

This book answered 95% of my "why", "how" and "what" questions about the condition I developed that caused me to turn into a medically boarded case from a long-term position as "high-flyer" and "top performer". Thank you and well explained!

I would highly recommend this book.

I would highly recommend this book. Even though we know instinctively that sleep is important, this book offers fascinating depth in the sleep research done so far. You will get to know why and how a consistent good night’s sleep improves your immunity, health, and well-being in general.

Short on improving sleep

This book is about why we need sleep, not on improving your sleep. A bit disappointing.
